  1. If at first you don't succeed, relist it again for exactly the same price... with the exact same incorrect spelling of CORRADO... the car he apparently owns
  2. Have you had it on vagcom? I'd go with maf first, they are always buggering up, when they go kaput the ecu goes onto a base map so still behaves similar. Unplug it when the engine is warm and see if anything happens. If engine note changes it would suggest it is working so maybe look towards lambda sensor and make sure the wires to the plug are not broken. First things first though, vagcom is your friend! Has the performance or fuel economy changed recently?
  3. Been watching this and noticed it had been relisted, looks like your carrado is famous kev...
  4. Can I take the 7 slat one posted please
  5. A book fell on my head this morning... I've only got my shelf to blame I was told today that its Jamaican hair day on Monday, I'm dreading it I was telling my girlfriend earlier that I had built a car out of spaghetti, penne, fusilli and sheets of lasagne, she didn't believe me... until I drove pasta.
  6. Its this one http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?t=24313&page=33&highlight=blue95 And is an absolute stunner of a corrado!
  7. I'm afraid I don't know if looms are different, I would presume so seeing as some peoples auxillary pump apparently work and some (like mine) don't work without extra wires soldering up. By the sounds of it your multiplug is missing the wires which is problem no.1, but if I were you I would piggy back a couple of wires off the wires on the engine side of the plug and connect it up to that yellow plug, if that works then you can then begin your journey back to the fusebox with the wires but before you do anything else, spend anymore time researching or take any more photo's just connect those wires up and see what happens.
  8. Just on my phone at lunch so this will be brief until I get chance to go on my laptop and research some more. If those wires are not in the loom then that is your problem. That yellow plug needs to be connected to the 2 wires coming from your aux water pump, try taking a couple of wires direct from your aux water pump through to the yellow plug in the car. If that works then it's just a case of finding where it isn't connected. Honestly if you were just a bit closer I'd happily come for a drive out but 5 hours is just a tad too far. I have more ideas to try after you have done that, ill try getting some pictures if I can get the corrado out of my garage as well
  9. Theres a guy breaking a supercharged mk3 golf vr6 in the cars for breaking section on edition 38, might be worth a look
  10. Nice to see you are getting stuck in mate! who's this magical chris everyone is talking about, I want corrado goodies hehe! You going to play engine upgrade whilst you are at it? I reckon you should go OBD2 at the least!
  11. Apologies mate, I'm in the process of a house move as well as sorting a new job out so my brain is currently forgetting everything I'm giving it at the moment. Right, firstly have you found those wires I keep harping on about? And also after I wrote that and checked my wiring diagrams I think the penny has dropped. The brown/red wire and the red/black wire? Did you change the engine loom? as in the actual engine loom to OBD2? I think that may be one of your problems. On the corrado I'll post up the wiring diagram as it will probably make more sense after I've attempted to explain (I've attached the corrado wiring diagram, for some reason it won't let me upload the obd2 golf diagram so you'll have to visit here https://drive.google.com/#search/g3vr6ecu95 and its page 7 in particular look for V50 coolant circulation pump for wiring) the red/black wire goes as follows on the corrado loom (OBD1) Aux water pump, red/white wire - Pin 2 (42 pin plug at engine) - Pin 1 (yellow plug near fusebox) - Pin 1 (Radiator fan control unit in engine bay, should be a 10 pin plug) (OBD2) Aux water pump, red/black wire - Pin 31 (42 pin plug at engine) - Pin 1 (Radiator fan control unit in engine bay, should be a 10 pin plug) As you can see the issue arises with the engine harness loom between OBD1 and 2. You will also have noticed that obd2 loom is one loom that includes all the fan, lighting etc so VW decided not to bother going to the fusebox and back and just plug directly to the radiator fan control unit and hence why people experience problems with aux water pump after the conversion. Anyway on to the brown/red wire, the diagram just says its an earth with no mention of what pin it is at the 42 pin but i've took a picture of the one I traced which is the other wire you need to connect to the yellow 2 pin plug I was talking about. Anyway thats probably enough of me blabbing on so have a go and let me know how you get on and if none of that makes sense give me a shout and I'll try unravel what the hell I've just said!!! g3radfan3speed.pdf
  12. This is the shortened version, take the headlining off and there are 4 bolts (or 6... I forget). Remove the drain pipes at each corner and remove the bolts and thats about it. Obviously there are wires to unplug, trim to remove etc etc Need to strip the sunroof down and fix it but what makes this grease so different from the others?
  13. Vw made 2 different types of grill, summer and winter. Also, which is a royal pain in the backside, early style grills do not fit late cars or more specifically the slam panel.
  14. Been going for years and it is a really good show, ticket prices have been creeping up a bit but when you consider the entertainment going on its a pretty good value weekend. Will most likely be there again this year providing my wallet allows me!
  15. The ebay obd2 cables work with something like vcds-lite, just the elm adapters just don't seem to want to play ball. All Corrado's are obd1 unless they have been converted
  16. I do have this working but i've converted to OBD2. I think I tried it once on obd1 and it didn't work sadly, only one thing to do... convert to obd2 :thumbleft:
  17. If only it was the solution to all sunroof problems!
  18. I think they go at the end of the track, right at the back as an end cap
  19. Glad to hear it passed so easily! The wheel protruding is your camber, I said it looked a bit out when we were trying the mercs on. The 2 bolts on the bottom of the strut allow a little movement on hub causing a bit of camber, undo the bolts and adjust s necessary. Should sound pretty awesome on film chat after the exhaust is done
  20. Sorry just on my phone at the moment, will try figure out wiring for vagcom later on but the auxillary water pump problem is that yellow plug, like I said try finding the disconnected wires in that multi plug in the engine bay. I cut a plug off another loom and connected it up and it did indeed spring into action. I did notice some colours were not exactly the same but they were made up for different age cars.
  21. Well havn't updated this much because I havn't really done anything to it sadly, it is no longer my daily but sadly I havn't had much time to drive it either. I did take it to santa pod for Big Bang and took it down the strip, managed to beat my mates 240bhp Lancia Delta Integrale 3 times out of 4 and put in a lovely 14.9 quarter mile at 93mph which I was well chuffed with!!! Now that it is no longer my daily I'm hoping to up the power some more, have been looking for an R32 engine but after hearing my mates turbo on his delta I'm really feeling the turbo route but we shall see how things pan out. If anyone knows of a complete R32 engine with all ancillaries please get in touch. Also after some 5 spoke 16" split rims if anyone has any?
  22. Lol, it was driving me absolutely insane figuring out why it wasn't working. Everyone that had done the conversion were all either saying mine works fine or it doesn't bother me but I wanted it all working just right. I think one day I'll sit down with a wiring diagram and the loom and figure out what everything does and also find out what thos extra wires behind the fusebox are for! Its a shame you are so far away, would love to have a look around your car!
  23. Soo soo jealous, my favourite corrado of all time!!! I think you need to put an R32 in the bay and sell me the engine
  24. Apologies for not getting back to you sooner but I find myself with less and less time at the moment, havn't even driven my corrado in a month :'( Anyway, lets get this auxillary water pump sorted... On the first picture you will see a brown and red wire just above my finger, on the second you will see a red and black wire on the right hand side of the picture. These are both coming out of the multi plug on the engine (fusebox side of the loom), those are the wires to find and trace, the likelihood is that those wires are cut and not connected to anything. They want to be connected to that yellow plug behind your dash, what I did was find the 2 wires then attach 2 long pieces of wire to them and test it out before soldering and routing the wires. Next up is the vagcom, you will have a grey/white wire coming from the engine bay with a single brown plug on the end, there should be a brown plug with a grey/white wire and a yellow wire coming from the little junction box behind your dashboard, the yellow wire isn't important but make sure the grey/white wires are connected and that should sort it. That should hopefully sort your vagcom problems :) Let me know how you get on
  25. Yes that was't plugged in on mine either but that didn't solve it. I'm trying to rack my brains how I sorted it and its slowly coming back, I traced the 2 wires back that connected to the auxillary water pump through the multi pin plug, if i remember correctly its a red wire and a brown & white wire. I traced them through the multi pin plug and found them coming out the opposite side cut short and not connected to anything. I can't seem to find the thread that the wiring diagram was posted on but I do have it as a favourite on my laptop (which I don't have at this moment), will try sort it for you tomorrow and confirm for certain the wires I soldered up.
