Glad to hear your back in a rado, your car was my inspiration for my last one. Saw it for sale a while ago with those 9.5" BBS on the rear and its looked amazing, almost made me consider selling my VR. Will be looking forward to seeing where this goes but at the moment that ride height is offending me!

Mr wort you are a fountain of knowledge! and if thats you in the pic you look a bit like Mallachy from hollyoaks
-
Do the cades come in 8" wide and 5x100 fitment? lovely set of wheels indeed! Your alloy wheel selector appears to be denying the existance of the Corrado though :(

My advice would be to give venom a call and tell them what your after, im sure a person would be able to tell you if you have the right ones. As for the master cylinder, some guy on another forum reckons you need to convert to 9" Servo with G60 22.2mm master cylinder, or VR6 23mm M/C. I'm not very clued up about all this but thats what i found when i was looking at S2 calipers. Its a pity you are not 5 stud, could have gone 288, would make life alot easier Some useful info here i do believe http://www.clubgti.com/forum/showthread.php?t=71149 and here http://www.swdubs.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=547 Oh and get some pics up of your rado, im guessing you decided to rip the heart out your A3

I have been saying I want to go for years but I can never get organised. Think next year im going to try and tag along with one of the group trips!

I know someone who talks with confidence about something he knows fack all about. Hes one of those people that could tell you the exact bhp, torque, price and weight of a car yet not even know how to open a bonnet. Was having an argument about how his (bought not built) civic ek with type r engine conversion was better than mr VR and only has 30ft/lbs less torque than my VR which wouldn't really make much difference, i thought about continuing on with the argument but responded with... tell you what, we'll have a tug of war. One moment that really comes to mind was when we decided to go to a jap car show and wandered over to a very high powered skyline or something, after peering into the bay for a second he says confidently... look at the size of that supercharger! whilst trying to stop myself bursting out in laughter, a guy next to him said... "mate, thats an alternator"

Pulled out of my girlfriends street last night onto newland av in hull only to be following a dark coloured C. Not sure if its anyone on here but you were following a low mk4 golf that was straddling every speed bump, even the ones that are like platforms. Oh and i think i spotted G-dub the other day coming opposite direction from hull direction down beverley bypass

Yan's xbox hates me :( -
What wheels don't i fancy more like! i think of a set i like then can't find any sets for sale then change my mind. I've considered porche d90's, compomotive mo's, bbs rc's, going back to my speedlines, keeping my current wheels, schmidt modernlines, bbs lm reps, some variation of rota's, RH zw1's...the list goes on! I think wheels will have to wait till later on in the year or till next year, would really like to get the paint sorted first. bodywork has been bugging me for some time!
-
The question you got to ask yourself is, whats more important. Bodywork, as sad as it sometimes makes me as i look at my car, will always come second to engine and running gear in my book. If you get a respray your car will look nice, but if your engine goes pop you might as well have bought an expensive painting. Not that im saying your engine will go pop, just that in preference i'd always prefer to get in a car that starts first time and runs like a dream and have a few scratches. Not sure what you mean by a 1.9, if you mean boring out a 1.8 to 1.9 or buying a 2litre. But if i was in the same position I would buy a 2 litre abf or 9a and whilst the engine is out for respray it would be an ideal time to replace it. Maybe just wait a little longer and save some more pennies and do both

Well not much to update really, just put some 288mm brakes on with green stuff pads. Waiting for them to bed in to see what they are like but they do feel a bit better at the moment. Had MOT last month and she flew through first time. I was extremely chuffed with that! especially seeing as i was totally skint! Went to Santa Pod and on the way back had a mini corrado convoy with Philuk, so pictures needed to be taken and im soo chuffed with how my car looks on the move, sits perfectly imo and the colour looks amazing. Just need to get a couple of bits resprayed whilst im on holiday in august and i'll be happy. Oh and some wheels, although to say im picky would be a huge understatement! Well heres a couple of pics anyway :D

Looks awesome mate, gotta get myself some of tha lamin-x. I love the rolling shots although they absolutely filled my facebook page lol. Will have to get some of my favourite shots up. I reckon silver suits the schmidts, maybe add a tiny bit of anthractie into the mix if your getting them sprayed to just tint them a little? But i love the bright silver on the blue.

That sounds odd, possibly means that the VR6 engine sits higher than the r32 but has a lower sump, therefore when putting the r32 engine in means the sump is at the same height? Or am i talking crap. And all this talk of the vr6 sump being almost bulletproof is crap as well, i hit mine 3 times and on the 3rd it put a hole in it. That was from bottoming it out on the road as well not hitting a speed bump or anything. I run fairly low but not as low as some people i've seen

Whats the best MPG anyones had out of a Corrado?
swiftkid replied to Pat_McCrotch's topic in General Car Chat
I got 40mpg on my way back from bugjam to hull in my VR6... chuffed? i think so! -
Oh dear...some 'opinions' on the great car.
swiftkid replied to sprinterVR6's topic in General Car Chat
The thing with those type of guys is they don't appreciate the power delivery the corrado gives, people like that would prefer to have 60bhp of power that has a crap power curve that feels fast but peaks out at 3k then drones on till 5k then a 190bhp car with a smooth power curve right upto 5.5k. My old valver felt alot faster than my vr6 and everytime i go out in my mates scirocco valver i swear its faster but in reality there is just no comparison. -
I took my fixed height column off my old corrado, whats all this talk of using a polo one, is it just for ease and availability?
-
I ended up trimming at first which fitted fine and looked brilliant but in heavy rain it clicked against the side of my windscreen, i just gave the wiper a little bend and its fine now.
-
Thought stormcharged's vents were off a bmw or something?
-
yea think mine isn't 100% true so that may be the problem, how much did you pay for a new rotor? I thought it might be something to do with the pedal position sensor but wanted to know if anyone had a similar problem with the rotor as thats what first springed to mind. Just seems a little strange that it was literally the day after i put the sensor in it started doing it.
-
By not paying attention i assume you mean, asleep with the car turned off. My valver gave one a good challenge, he did leave me lower end but top end and round corners he couldn't get away. This was on a track of course
-
While this thread is here and your problem is sorted may i just butt in with my problem. Following replacing both front sensors i now have a really weird problem when slowing down, about 5 - 10mph on light braking i can feel the pedal start making a noise and it puts the brakes on stronger. Also sometimes when im just crawling along at about 5 - 10mph it makes a humming noise and the brake pedal is right at the top, as soon as i dab it it goes back to normal but it is a most annoying problem!
-
 I just read "introduction kit" and had a vision of the guy planting his foot and an englishman popping out of the dash and saying "hello nice to meet you im jeffery" lol

Has Graham thought about getting anymore 24v conversion manifolds done? I've been pushing myself to finally do the 24v conversion after my first failed attempt but things like the exhaust not fitting right is an utter put off. Sounds lovely though, another thing that concerned me was loosing that amazing VR6 rumble but that sounds brilliant!

Spotted quite a few corrado at santa pod and a few leaving it on sunday. Will post up some pictures once i upload them, was going to say hi a few times but didn't realise if they were on here or not. Gave a few corrado owners a wave though :D Saw big ben driving with another corrado near the show and shine bit, came down to say hi as i was stood on the hill but you had gone by the time i got there
