  1. Well just had a flick through your members thread and they look like hot-tuning coilovers at first glance with their blue collar/red spring colour scheme which are renowned for being very stiff but cheap and able to lower your car. Think they are about £150 off ebay and you pay for the quality really, my apologies if they are more expensive ones but it seems to me if you want a better ride quality either go back to either standard shocks and lowering springs, uprated shocks and lowering springs or go high up the market and how a browse through the suspension thread. I can't recommend KW V1's enough, i've had low end FK's on mine before and the ride quality is fantastic even though mine is lowered alot! One thing to think about though is the softer the suspension you get, the more chance of scrubbing you get on what look like 17's
  2. Build is amazing, love the attention to detail. Think the brakes stand out a bit too much for me, think black would look alot more discreet and i reckon some black meshing in front of the intercooler would look alot better and hide it a bit but hats off to the progress!
  3. AHHH!!! bollox to that, just replaced both front abs sensors to get it working. Light goes off but i have noticed following replacement of the sensors as im slowing down occasionally (at low speeds) it likes put the abs on or sometimes as im just driving along i'll hear this humming noise and the pedal will be right at the top, a quick dab and its back to normal. From reading a couple of posts i bet its this expensive bloody thing thats bust :bad-words:
  4. I've got a bottom of the range halfords one, think it was about £50 and its brilliant. Does exactly what you want it to do and theres no point getting a ridiculously high pressure one as its only going to end up damaging the paint anyway (i speak from experience and what appeared to have been a previous shit paint job that started flaking). I really need to sort out my cleaning products, my car is swirled to buggery. Always used super resin but bought some megs to try out and i hate it, really greasy. My mate got a kit off cleanyourcar with collinite and he thinks its brilliant, did his car the other day and its beads soo well.
  5. dubpower, i've heard very good things about them and they range from £35 for oem leads upwards to around £125.00 for performance leads.
  6. lol that car seems to be getting alot of attention at the moment, i posted the same link up the other day in another thread. i've got the feature somewhere and im pretty sure he usually runs 9s or even 8s which look loads better but for that extra wow factor he throws on the 11s. I think this is with thinner wheels
  7. How much are you wanting for it? How many miles on it etc etc. the usual info please, i may know someone who may be interested :)

  9. That be the link i posted then phil
  10. I can't find a picture but there is a very well known very low red corrado with side exit exhaust that looks the mutts nuts. Its the one running a proper hybrid engine with, i think from memory, either 10j or 11j on the rear. I have the picture and the feature on it at home. As for the noise, it really depends on how many silencers you keep. My friend had one on his polo and it was loud but that was because he removed his backbox to fit it. Can look tasteful but can look ultra chavvy as well! edit: GOTCHA! http://speedhunters.com/archive/2009/05 ... rrado.aspx

    wide 17's

zak has some bbc rc motorsport wheels in 17x9 on his, or rather used to as i think hes put the bbs back on which i think are 17x8. Otherwise look for rh zw1, although i think they are 7.5's. I think coullstar recently had 17x8 and 17x9's on his but he has big flared arches!
  12. Sorry can't help with your problem but how have you found the LED's with red tinted lights on your corrado? reason is i have been thinking the same thing and spraying my crystals and putting orange LED's in.
  13. Agree with everyone else. I would say 15's is the smallest you can go without looking a bit daft. Im running 15's on baloon tyres and i've hit the floor a few times and i've still got alot more i can drop it by. Brakes are as tight as possible but then again i do have VR brakes.
  14. spotted G_dub near memorial hall in beverley, gave you a beep but don't think you saw me. Was about lunchtime yesterday (15th)

    Easy wiper fix

Yea i tried that but the spring was soo weak in the arm that it made no difference and just pushed the arm further away :( . If you do ever get the chance to put TT or lupo arms on I would seriously consider it, i got mine 1 at a time from a breaker, cost me £20 in total i think and its probably the most noticeable mod i've done! It not only cleans the screen better, but it sits more discreetly and doesn't squeak and the wiper is alot better quality so you don't have to chance your wiper every MOT time.
  16. I did it just after a clean involving snow foam, rinse with jet wash, wash with megs shampoo, another rinse with jet wash then dried with towel then shammy. So yea it was pretty clean  Think i'll be trying a different product but at the moment, that car has made me skint enough so i shan't be investing anymore money in it.
  17. They always have the wrong deals when i need em! bought 2 products and couldn't find anything else i needed so just bought something random. talking about rain-x, think i bought the wrong one, i bought the cleaner and rain-x in one and i think its utterly garbage. sprayed it on loads of times and the rain just sits happily on my rear window, even when driving.
  18. lol, i should really think about what i write before i post  was at santa pod on the drag strip. Im going again for bugjam end of this month, absolutely cannot wait.
  19. Sorry, totally off topic but were you the woman i spoke to at big bang as i was queing up for the strip? I see no members gallery!?
  20. I'll tell you what, seeing as im a nice guy and all, i'll take those wheels off you to help with running costs
  21. Push the boat out a little further and get an audi a3 8p (new shape) diesel!
  22. Well theres a few benefits to running smaller wheels -you can use bigger tyres so more ride comfort as im betting you have 205/40/17's -you can get wider wheels and not need to adjust the coils too much -less scrubbage in the arches dependant on what width wheel you get The problems you get with smaller wheels though, are that your car might need to be lowered more to look right which can cause problems with speed bumps etc. Im running 15's and i've bottomed my car out a few times which isn't nice! It depends on the look your going for really, i know of people running wide 17's with rolled arches and they look awesome but arch work is needed, whilst i've also seen people running wide 15's and 16's without archwork.
  23. Firstly here's the link as yours isn't working. Secondly, and this is personal preference, i'd go with a 3 slat grill with black painted badge, not sure a colour coded badge will work well. Wheels im a bit unsure of but thats personal preference. I'd most definately go for either lupo or TT wipers, i've got TT ones and its one of the best mods you can do, looks soo much better and functionality is 100% better. Not sure if this would work but id split the headlights and paint around the outside of light (something i've been meaning to do for ages), a few people have done it and its a little thing that makes a big difference. Maybe some lamin-x for the fog and indicators?

The rewards for your efforts will be:- Cylinder selective knock trimming and much faster response. Optimum timing maintained constantly. Better low end torque and midrange. It will never, ever stall again or even think about stalling. Much faster lambda. Phased injection timing (to compensate for inlet tract length) Better mpg and smoother response. Much better scope for tuning. taken from here
  25. First off, stunning car and although i have seen some people buy amazing cars and then ruin the car by putting their own touches on you have done a fantastic job, some of the things i wasn't too keen on you have changed and its an all round amazing car. Marcus and you have really done a corrado proud. secondly, if i had your engine bay i wouldn't care if it was painted bright pink with that setup!!!
