  1. really not a fan of that sound, sounds far too raspy for my liking and very loud. prefer a nice deep roar but then again im probably only saying that because im jealous i didn't get to finish mine.
  2. you should have bought coxylaad's and charged it! Depends what you want out of a car, a mk5 will have more comforts but it will be heavier and obviously more expensive. The mk4 sounds pretty rapido so a good get in and drive car, will also mean you won't lose money on modding it. As we all know you don't get back what you put into a car!
  3. Not trying to make you look stupid but those wheels look multifitment to me, ie 5x112 and 5x100, have you tried using the other holes?
  4. ouch! well i got my head skimmed for £80.00 at my local engineers and did the regrinding myself. You seem to have a bit of mechanical knowledge so why not have a go yourself at the cleanup? you can buy the tool for valves for about £15, the valve guides should come as part of a head gasket set and they simply push on (with a little bit of careful encouragement) and the valve grinding is a boring job but easy! Shop around for skimming prices, im sure you will be able to get it done cheaper!
  5. ahh nuts, im not modifying anything to fit. Just thought it would save me a lot of pennies if it was something easy like to swap the front over. These heater controls seem to be going for £50-85 and the only thing thats wrong with mine is the directional dial doesn't work. Doesn't bother me that much because i have it on screen all the time but i want to make sure the car is fully functioning so shelling out £85 is ridiculous!
  6. Dubpower do a set i have heard good things about
  7. Im just wondering as i saw the back of some mk3 golf heater controls (the dial type) which look pretty much the same, if they will fit in a corrado as a direct replacement for the existing later dial type heater controls. Obviously the fascia will need to be swapped over, if possible, but they are a hell of alot easier and cheaper to get hold of then one for a corrado! Can anyone confirm either way?
  8. This weekend i removed the rear wiper and bent the TT wipers so they sit better. Was fed up of them tapping on the windscreen plastics when it was raining. Handing in all my college work in the next 2 weeks so looking forward to getting stuck in and getting my modification head on!

Theres your problem then. According to this picture you got em wrong way round, swap em round and see what happens

ahh are you sure the yellow and the blue wires are right way round? that would cause the light to flash
  11. Well as long as the topcaps are on the suspension won't go anywhere and you would pretty much need to take off to make the struts drop far enough to notice. As i said above, mine are almost exactly the same and were on my last car when i put coilovers on. I checked on an old picture i have when it had standard suspension on and it was the same.

its defective! have you looked to see if the wire has come loose or broken?
  13. better! what about a honeycombe front grill as well? its still not a corrado but i wouldn't kick it out of my driveway
  14. Suppose, you done it yet? you that guy from hull i saw not long ago near road runner, twice lol!!!
  15. Just done this yesterday, literally took me about 30 mins taking my time and no wragging about and looks loads better. Bought some rain-x as well but i still have my number on the rear window from about 2 weeks ago in santa pod that i like so none on it yet lol I can also confirm the halfords 19mm fits very snug, i would even go so far as to say 18mm might be better as it seems to bulge a little and not sit flat like i wanted it to.
  16. It that seriously an aired corrado commercial? like one we will see on TV? absolutely gutted a corrado is associated with that utter garbage they call food :(
  17. How much work was involved in doing the mk4 dash? im mostly interested into the physical mounting of it as i know it needs trimming at the back to get it to fit right. Do you need to hack anything off the corrado to make it fit?
  18. well the problem i had was that the caliper was pretty rusted up, i wire brushed it to reveal lucas and 54 so guess that makes it a 280mm setup :( ahh nevermind!
  19. *cough* Ill just sit back with popcorn now
  20. Exactly the same problem and my girlfriend finds this highly amusing, if you move the key a tiny bit further (as if to start it) you can get a sweet position that keeps the head unit on. I believe it is the ignition switch, i've been saying im going to order one for ages but its an absolute bitch to fit.
  21. how can you tell the difference between a set of 288mm calipers and 280s? I have a set i got off a mk3 but i don't know what size they are for as i don't have the discs or pads.

Nah! leave the 9's on, get some better pictures and enjoy! think you need something wide to fill the arches!
  23. "im sorry but my bank account is currently being hooved out due to a pigeon getting in the vault, your welcome to call my bank (real phone number) and ask for my bank account number and sort code, my name is fon jackr. They will know who I am as I am good friends with the manager"
  24. g60 super-turbocharged, like the lancia delta integrales! :D
  25. Havn't done one on my VR6 but on the valver they have a pain in the arse screw top thing thats a bit of a nightmare to unscrew, like a really big jar top with fins on the outside edge. maybe worth having a look around see if theres a proper tool for it as the only other option (that i thought of) is a flathead screw driver and a hammer on the plastic fins around the outside which can damage it.
