If its just when its cold, it could be the blue temp sensor, it controls the map when the car is cold and is known to be at fault sometimes when getting low mpg at startup

can i ask what the significance of OIA6 is?
-
G60greeny did it to his, something i've been wondering as well.
-
Its funny i've just stumbled across this thread, my tensionner did exactly the same as your the other day, except mine wore throught he bear housing as well!!! easy fix though. As henny said, you can't make your car look newer with a plate, otherwise i'd be wanting V 12 6...

 it is indeed, but not for too much longer. How's it coming along?

No i know of pete griffs, its blue, thought pete griffs was green :? theres also a burgundy one, think hes called 2motion. big bens mate with the storm 3.2, erm... can't think of anymore off the top of my head.
-
why has herisites got 2? lol coxylaad's is now 87jetta's car, coullstar's is a 2.8 and i know of a few 2.8 24v's kicking about. Kip has a 3.2 under construction and theres another one i know of on here with a members thread, its a blue one but forgotten his username.
-
Pretty sure herisites has had his remapped. Im tempted to start the conversion again but i do alot of town driving so i don't want it to be twitchy, whats the MPG like? or has it been foot to floor syndrome since its been in
-
looks like a real nice install and very fast turn-around, glad to hear your pleased with it. Are you having the same throttle response issue as herisites? ie a bit twitchy on low throttle?
-
Ahh that wasn't a VR! was a valver that at first glance appeared to be kitted up for some good times (headlight out, black/carbon bonnet) but apparently was running a couple of seconds slower than me! Got a pic of mine in my members thread, i ran a 15.6 at 91mph which i was pretty dam chuffed about. My mate said my starts were pretty poor (no wheel spin but not a particularly fast start) as well so more to come with a bit of tuning and experience!
-
Car looks sweet! I want your wheels, although im glad that roof rack is for purpose and not looks! You got any pics of my car? Was up and down the strip on saturday, mine was the one with black 5 spoke wheels.

Glad its getting sorted quickly, insurance companies annoy the hell out of me, why on earth they try and argue with their own policy is beyond me. To any normal person "i insured it for £4000" means i want £4000 back, i wonder if when quoted for the insurance of say £800, it would be alright to give them £300? and no doubt i will miss the 263's yet again when you post them up!

Absolute scumbags, deserve a horrible death imo. Some prick tried to steal my old one, got into it smashed the barrell to bits then obviously didn't realise it had a start button :epicfail: so luckily managed to keep my car. I guess be happy you still have it, could have been worse.

Well back from an amazing weekend at santa pod for big bang, she ran all the way there almost perfectly, got there and had a squeaking noise from tensioner pulley but i couldn't do anything about it so ran it and put in a 15.6 at 91mph which i was very chuffed with!!! was amusing how most cars had me off the line then as soon as the VR really kicked in it just disappeared. then on the way back home was cruising along and a loud squeaking noise started, though oh crap better pull over and then went away... so continued. Got to my mates house to find bits of plastic lying where my air box was, the pulley had literally ripped itself to bits. Drove home and needed to go to work the next day, had no choice tried taking it easy but then more squeaking, white smoke, bad smell and then the battery light came on :( pulled over before it got hot so thats tonights job to do in a carpark between work and my house lol! managed to source a second hand pulley and tensioner for £10 as apparently you can't get the pulley on its own and the tensioner is £60!!! i bet the pulley is only worth a fiver! But was a brilliant weekend, will get some pics of her up in action once my mate uploads them. Was nice to see a few corrado's around and about and another one doing the strip!

That was me! got back earlier on today, amazing weekend! will have to look out for pics! saw a few rado's around and one up for sale. Didn't see you though Phil, should have come and said hi!

Flash sod!! not too sure about the tinted lights though, but its your car now... and not mine...and never will be

Had a few nice scirocco comments from clients recently but best one was i was driving along a main road, came to a set of traffic lights turning right and some guy with his mrs was stood waiting to cross. As i drove past i had turned down my music and had window open i heard him say to his mrs "now THATS a proper sports car". Was well chuffed hehe

Well i guess thats made your mind up Rob! I had a scan through the mag the other day and yep its the rado with 7" wheels and something like 145 or 165 tyres. WHY??!! he said he wanted to push the boundary but people don't just get stretched tyres to look cool, they do it to tuck the tyres in the arch. Its like fitting a huge spoiler on the rear of a car but attaching it to the bottom of the bumper so it doesn't stick out above the rear of the car, it looks crap and theres no real point in it, Its such an awfully pointless car. Its making a right fuss over on edition, i guess its making a stir which is the aim of the mag, to sell but the only reason i'll be looking at it at a show is to laugh at it. And I can admit my car isn't modified as much as that, but i like my car and don't feel ashamed driving through town on a saturday night

If you think they are that gay i'd be happy to take them off your hands for the price of postage :norty:
