  1. Does the golf 2.8 VR6 distributor fit and work on the Corrado VR6 ? Dumb question as I know the numbers are slightly different, but worth an ask?
  2. Hi I would like to know where the earth connection on the VR6 ditributor is supposed to attatch to ? Someone has changed the dizzy and not reconnected it. It is connected on the dizzy :D , but the other end is not. :( Where does it go ? :confused4: Thanks
  3. raceland one is fab. So much bang for your buck................oo and vrooom
  4. hey, sure there are a few replicants near here. funny people, or are they machines ??? anyway, they are not dreaming of electric sheep. we only have goats here
  5. come on yacobwood. Abyss is surely 9.999995 anyway, Bangkok Dangerous 8/10 blade runner (about 20th time of watching) 10/10

  7. sounds a little steep, but easy enuff job
  8. OK bit confusing Can't find anything definitive on this site, but sure you clever boffins out there will know Basically I have a 1993 VR6 with a coil pack. Engine is sweet (3k sweet) but the car is fuba'd I am buying a 1992 VR6 with a distributor. Everything sweet so far as I know I want to swap the engines over. Firstly is this possible, and secondly, is it a right git, or fairly easy. Thanks for any help Dic Never had a distibutor type before so bit thick here
  9. ok, looks like i'm sorted. halfords here we come when I get back to blighty. cheers chaps (and any gals I missed) Dic
  10. Good Morning Hope I'm putting this in the right place. Need a good quality car cover. C has to live outdoors :( , albeit on the driveway, but really want to cover it :) Suggestions would be appreciated. Not too expensive tho Thanks Dic
  11. Had a similar problem recently. Took it all apart, including removing glass from its holder. (Although the glass remained in the door) Put it all back together and it worked fine. My conclusion was it had stuck in the runners and the removal and refit had loosened it off. Not sure if this helps, but it might :) Dic
  12. destroyed mine a few weeks ago getting it out. Blink codes had told me it was fooked so no issues really Put some copper slick round it when you put it back in. Dic
  13. Does no one else have one of these stickers, or has mine fallen off something else and just got stuck there??
  14. Anyone else got a sticker on the bulkhead ? Just curious and if the code is the same as my old VR6. Just found a photo of it.
  15. OK thats clear So what is the little sticker on the bulkhead for, and why do the Spanish authorities want an E code for the whole car. Is this little sticker what they want ? OOOOOOOOOOOOOO this is a minefield Cheers Dic
  16. Wow, I am a little more enlightened. This code of the E with a number in a circle. What is the technical name for it. If my car had one which I think has probably been washed off, where could I get a replacement sticker, or find out if one was ever issued. You seem to be a mine of info. Cheers Dic
  17. Hi I am at a complete loss here. I have a 1992 2.0lt 16v C that does not have a E code? (Dunno what else to call it) It is a little sticker on the panel between wipers and engine bay. It is E with a number in a circle. Somebody told me it is a TUV code. I have seen them all over the glass, but not on the body My old VR6 had one sticker but I cannot remember the code after the circle only that the code in the circle was E15 Does this make any sense to anyone. Apparently you cannot import a car into Spain without one, and the guy wanting to buy me car won't buy it without it HELP PLEASE Dic
  18. sure he's not confusing with a 5 cylinder ?
  19. OK, so its not a corrado, but anyone any ideas here The car runs fine at part throttle, but when you depress the throttle and the revs climb above 3000(aprox) the engine revs go up and down like a pair of whores drawers. Having an auto box this gets rather annoying as it appears to want to change gear all the time at anything over 3000. Ideas please or else I'm gonna have to put it down............it is a chrysler (oops I swore) after all Cheers guys Dic
  20. silicone spray is better than wd40 but yes, that was all done whilst I was in there. :D
  21. well that was easier than expected. took out the 2 bolts and the window fell down, but I did catch it softly. Tried the motor again and it worked fine Bolted the window back to mechanism again and it worked Phew...........thank goodness for luck
  22. Cheers guys Very useful info. Had done a search but nothing conclusive. but some useful info non the less Anyway, hands up who knows what I am doing tomorrow.............. Ohh and so you all feel better, its raining here too Dic
  23. HI all I am thick, I know it, so please don't give me a hard time. My window doesn't work. The contoller clicks, the motor clicks, but it don't move. I am surmising that the cable is fooked, and as such the whole mechanism will need to be removed. I have found information on this site that I need to drill out the pop rivets. The questions I have are. 1. The window is stuck in the up position, so can it be removed like this. 2. I presume to replace the mechanism, one would pop rivet it back in again. 3. Any hints, tips, trips to Portugal to do it, would be good Cheers all Dic This happened very suddenly, ie no slowing down of window or horrible noises etc, just stopped. I have changed the contoller with a spare I have, and same result. Could I be missing something obvious. (Yes, I know, a brain)
