Nice one Tom, My plans were for the stage 4 charger, 4.5 bar FPR, chip and pulley. Then to remove the boost return. Not sure if that will give you a great increase in bhp but everything counts. Darren at G-werks should be able to advise you more.. Dont tell me youre bored with the power already.... :wink:

Yeah, i had this prob too. Pulled the pipe off, cut about an inch off the end and stuck it back on. All fine now...

Hey Thomas. The cetre box isnt held on with cable ties. The reason they are there is because its a heavy exhaust and it stretches the standard rubber fixes after a while. When you have passengers it will bump on the rear axel (i think?). The cable ties were a temporary measure but have done the job well for a year now... I believe you can get fixes with a chain inside?

My G60 used to keep up with a friends mk4 1.8Turbo until he got a revo chip for it, then it was putting out about 215 bhp!!! :shock: What is the idea of the red i on gti anyway?

Hi Thomas, No loss of boost there as its before the charger. Was going to replace it but theyre about £50 from VW (just for a little tube). Still had them when i asked a coupl eof months ago though..

Hi there Thomas. I believe i used to own this car. The battery and alternator are both fine, its a fault with the wiring to between the alternator and the led on the dash. Probably the dash end i think. Its not a prob and has been like that for about a year. Hope the car is well :cry:

Spending that kind of cash on a G60 youre probably not going to get anything brilliant. Ive been to see some going for £3k upwards that i wouldnt even dare be a passenger in... :?

I believe its normal. Mine does it too. I think maybe something to do with keping fuel cool rather than left getting warm in the pipes??? -
Ive heard lots about door handles breaking and guess this is because of the doors sticking like a freezer door. How can i stop this. Ive tried some WD40 on the seal but doesnt make much difference....

Thats what i was hoping. Going to get Darren at PD to do the lot (if he would :lol: ) as i too have heard good things and they do the SNS chips and a few other bits and bobs that i need. How long does a stage 4 take Darren (if im sitting there poking my nose in trying to get in the way... :D )

I am planning to get the charger rebuilt to stage 4 in the next week or so. The plan eventually is for Stg 4 charger, 68mm pulley, sns chip and 3.5 bar FPR. Unfortunately ive probably only got enough cash for the charger right now and it needs doing. Would everything run ok with just the stg 4 charger for a month or so or is the rest needed. Thought it might be a bit kinder wearing the charger in too.. Darren, ill prob give you a call on this at the weekend..

G60Jet... Is the first boost hose the one lower down on the right hand side where the silencer box is, underneath the boost return? Is it easy enough to unbolt off and have a look see....

yeah - theres one parked round the corner from me. They dont have any red badges on the front which is a sure sign.. -
Easy to change. Buy the whole flange and clip and somethign else (3 parts) from VW for about £15 and swap them over... Check the one on the right hand side of the engine at the same time cos as soon as you fix one - the other will go...

yeah - thats the one. Mine shakes around quite mad too. Anyone know what it does. The one i looked at was missing the blue cap and all..

If you look to the left hand side of the engine right at the back, behind the FPR, theres a tube sticking up with some kind of cap on the end. ANy ideas what this is. I know one of the old G60's i looked at had it half broken off and it was shaking around.. (looked dodgy, i didnt buy it).

I usually run on Super but occasionally have to put 95 in. Definitely notice when theres 95 in it... :(

What needs to be done to get the door panel off. 2 screws by the lock, 1 by the hinge... what else and which end prises out first. Seems just as solid with all the screws out..
