Yeah - Very tasty colour indeed. Dont think its original. They claim it to be 350bhp!!!!

Cheers lanny!! Why mix the red and clear, why not just red? WHat kind of stuff do you suggest using? Also, isnt it necessary for the indicators to blink orange??

When i start the G60 every morning, for about the first few seconds it sounds like a tractor. This goes pretty quick but i continue to get lots of belt squeeking. It gets quieter pretty quick and goes away completely within a mile or so. Are these possible to just tighten up as the charger belts were changed about 6 months ago? I guess VW would be best ( :? ) as they know how tight???? :?

Im looking to for the best way to have all red tail lights like the pic. Is tinting spray/film the way to go or does someone like inpro make red replacements? Wasnt too sure how nice film/spray would look....

Anyone know the best way to get rid of 3 dents in my drivers side door. Theyre all pretty small. Even better - anyone know of anyone in Bucks that can do it cheap?

As Dubcharged says, seem to have a loud 'blowing over the top of a bottle' sound now. Quite irritating. :( Got quite a long pipe on it too. Is it ok to leave this hole open?? :? Surely crap will get in... -
Whereabouts in South Bucks are you G60er?

Well, had a closer look last night. passenger side bulb was black and covered in melted plastic from the surround of the light, where it seems to have melted a bigger hole for itself!!!   Replaced this and it works fine. Drivers side bulb looks fine but still doesnt work. Will replace this afternoon. Any ideas why both bulbs should go and fuse be ok? :?
-
Nice one - Ill have a look later on. Cheers!! ANyone got a part number or know roughly how much these are in case its broken? (and if its tricky to replace)
-
Cheers Scott.. Where is this and what can i do about it?
-
Discovered last night that i have no brake lights, not sure how long for!! Found out last night by a mate in his 1.8T following me at full throttle!!!  I have checked the fuse as neither lights are working. Fuse looks ok (Fuse 20 i belive). Think the bulbs are ok too as side lights work fine. What else could this be?? :(

Whatever you do...Dont press the red button
-
Nice!! Did it fit straight into the lighter hole, or need a bit of mods?
-
Can anyone remember who had the push button start? (or where to get one that wont need relays etc). It was a silver button in cigarette lighter fitment...
-
Ist it the Mk4 2.0 16v that is 150bhp?
-
If VW dont have them, do anyone else make anything that would fit or is it a DIY job?

we know what you drive and what you do!but how old are you??

Hmmm, 26 now (not for much longer (in fact a month today)). at 21 i had a 1990 black Golf Gti cabriolet with G60 arches and 17" Oz F1's. Looked surprisingly like my 1992 black corrado G60, soon to have 17" rims of some sort.... Also had, mk1 golf and Mk3 golf. Good old VW's... -

Pipe 3 is a rubber connecter so i just put a conveniently sized bolt in until i find something better. Pipes 1 and 3 are metal connectors so i cut the tubes then put a screw in 1 and big old bolt in 3. I think you can buy connectors in motor factors so will look there when i have more time -
Must admit it doesnt look like an overly important pulley (i guess they all are, but compared to charger pulley etc i mean) and had quite a small belt on it. No PS squeeling but i do get a little squeal when starting on colder days. Its the lowest pulley and furthest back. You can see it to the back left side of the engine... I will have a better look at lunchtime..

yeah - me too. I think its done to look like a T to make the diagram easier. Although i know G60jet has a T from looking at his picture. Maybe this is done to attach the boost gauge -
Are we talking in the same place? Its quite a big pulley (about 10 cm diameter) with quite a thin belt on, and has 4 allen key bolts holding it. These are all tight and i cant move the pulley myself. I wouldnt say it wobbling exactly - more just not spinning quite straight..... :? :(

Here is an edited pic. Pipes to cut marked 1 & 2, i left a bit of pipe connected as its easier to plug the pipe than the metal connector on the throttle body. Pipe 3 just pulls off and is easy to plug up (Note: remaining pipe pointed the other way on mine to the picture). Pipe labelled V is to vent off somewhere... Everything else can go. Hope this helps. -
When i look down the left hand side of the engine bay, the lowest pulley out of all them down there is wobbling around. Im sure this isnt right. Anyone know what this one does and why it would wobble.... :?
-
I think with forced aspiration engines (like G60) its more beneficial to use super/optimax and i believe all Corrados were designed to run on it anyway. Also super is generally better quality petrol... I nearly always use super as theres only one places round here that does optimax

Well, i was a little worried about removing all these tubes and all from the engine bay, but it was piss easy and took about half hour max... Looks so much neater now - and i can get some cold air... Cheers all.. :D :D :D
