how old is your motor?? and how big a job is it ?? i have read that the dash has to come out - but hope that my 89 16v maybe a little easier than the later ones. skinny - same issue as mine was warm then suddenly went cold/luke warm. i would ditch the valve, reverse flush, 2 bottles of the fancy anti freeze and see what happens. carry a spare pipe to bypass just in case it does burst - so far mine has been good and i spend at least 20 mins a night in stop start traffic. no leak and having to turn the temp down as its too warm in there. Mines a "92" early dash,it took all day, and an hour of the next, done outside, and ruddy cold !yep dash out viewtopic.php?f=45&t=83262

It makes sense, mine hasnt got the valve on it,and it wasnt throwing out any hot air. I gave it a good flush, but it didnt make any difference ! Changed the matrix new years day. Its well hot, just like it was when i first bought it. Its better for it to go cold, then burst !

do you know anyone with a working sensor, that you could just put in and see if it works ? If it doesnt, it must be the wiring ?IIRC there is a section in the Bently manual about testing the sensor
-
Exactly what the g/f bought me for xmas !
-
£11 from here http://www.frost.co.uk/

That's my car, and the wrong side. The sensor is either plugged into that section of grill or the air duct behind it, just on the drivers side instead. My apologies for using a pic of your car,i was just trying to show where abouts on the car the sensor was fitted
-
Is it in the same place as the pic i posted ? (pics reversed for some reason)
-
If you know anyone with a corrado, try their sensor first to rule that out,if it still doesnt work, start chasing the wires back from the sensor to the car, inspecting the wires for damage. Its more likely this end as it is exposed to the elements. Keep us posted

if the sensors not plugged in (o/s front of car) it doesnt show up at all on the MFA !

TSR quote £5k, thats including a checked 2nd hand engine ! Thats using your gearbox, and exhaust. -
When mine fell out,it didnt show "up" on the MFA, soon as i plugged the new one in,the MFA displayed the temp. Are you sure yours is plugged in ?
-
