Driving along my wipers came on and wouldnt stop, turned off ignition and they stopped, took out the relay and carried on,changed relay, still couldnt turn wipers off,out comes the relay again (i take the relay out and not the fuse,as the wipers still work on 2nd speed but wont park) ordered a new stalk assembly, meanwhile rear wiper keeps coming on ! fuse removal this time !Picked up new stalk £58 !!! fitted it, had ignition on,the click before the "idiot" lights come on, Wipers and washers worked like they should ! Put ignition on "full" and problem is still there !! At present i have the rear fuse out, and the relay out. It doesnt blow fuses, Could this be the ignition barrel ? I know a lot of you have had trouble with this, anyone shed some light ? Had the barrel changed about 7 years ago by the main dealers Thanks in advance

it sounds like the sender isnt working,or a break in the wire, there is an article in the Bentley manual how to test them best bet is to try someone elses first, and then go from there, dont buy new ! they are over £30
