  1. Yeah a friend is sorting out the brackets for me. I've had a couple of prices of pads yesterday, both sides- Lockheed £38+vat. ATE £58+vat. Sounds pretty good to me. Are those makes any good? Porsche dealers wanted £118+vat per side. Oof!
  2. Haha, sorry about that! My internet is dead at home. So I'm only using my phone. Hence no pics.
  3. Hi mate, just read your thread and thought that could be good timing for me to get some new suspension. I'm wondering if I could be a little cheeky in asking if you could give me a shout when you do decide to sell up? Could help us both out with a quick sale. Just a thought. Many thanks, Matt.
  4. Supercharged could you help out with my lack of knowledge please. I take it, it makes a difference if the MC is for ABS or not? Only wondering as I've been advised to get the 25mm S2 unit for use with big brakes. No mention about ABS. Many thanks mate.
  5. Doesn't sound cheap there mate!
  6. Hope you get your rear brake sorted quickly. Yeah the new wheels are 17's, been a bit slack polishing them up. Must get on and finish them to fit them before the brakes need doing.
  7. Hi Mart As you're looking for a new MC, would it be a good fix to find an S2 MC? I've been told this is a good change if you're thinking of going for big brakes. Just a thought mate if its any easier or cheaper to find than VW.
  8. Well guys, I've got cheap 2nd hand In-Pro's with HID's. I hate the angel eyes. So if you can find the strips to make the same as the pic, then I could give it a go for laughs. I agree the strips would have to give a solid light rather than little individual spots. Any ideas of decent strips?
  9. Hahaha! Thats funny Mart. Erm I'll keep hold of them I think. Hopefully get all the bits I need in the next few weeks, then they go on. I've been lucky with these, had them checked over and they're lovely. They came with the brake lines still attached, hopefully will fit onto the car fittings. These things should fill behind the wheels!
  10. Thanks for the advice Kev, they do look fine to my untrained eye. Just wanted to be sure. Cheers.
  11. Hi guys Just picked up my new Brembo 4 pots from a Cayenne S. They look to me to be in a good condition. Been told they should be no more than 3 years old. I'm just wondering if they would be ok to use straight off after being checked over that everything is in order? As they aren't fitted yet, would it be a good idea to renew anything on them at this stage? Mucho thanks and any little hints and tips about these calipers is gratefully recieved. Matt.
  12. Thats great, thanks for the quick assist. Be good to see a few details of it when they release them. Plus a rough price from them would be cool. Have to get saving then guys :norty:
  13. Hi all, Just to let everyone know I'm a complete virgin to turbo's so apologise in advance for any silly questions or statements! First thing for me to work out, is it even worth turboing my engine? Really you should use as low mileage as possible I guess. Mine reads 127k. Or is it not so bad to use a higher mileage on a VR engine? Just been rolling road tested at 180bhp, pretty standard, exhaust & BMC. I need to do lots of research as this is such a specialist subject. Is there any sort of idiots guide on the components and pricing I would be looking at? I've seen on ebay there is a kit from Canada that says its complete including turbo. The price is £749 or best offer, the best offer taken is £550. This seems too cheap for everything or the quality isn't up to much? Supposing that was ok, any thoughts on an install price from start to finish? Sorry again for lots of questions, regards Matt .
  14. Hey Rob This is coming along nicely, bet you can't wait for the spray shop to get busy on it! I would say keep an eye out for the leather interiors being sold, especially on ebay and the like. You could get a good bargain and just put the spray on hold for a short time. You told me you wanted leather, mmm! See ya soon mate.
  15. Thanks for the comment, I'm very pleased with how its looking at the moment. Will be even better when the new wheels go on. Sorry I'm keeping my old lights as they are as good a condition they can be, and it gives me the option to change back in the future if I want to. Thanks for your interest though.
  16. I know, I was really surprised myself by the movement of the engine. There were others there that moved loads more than this
  17. Been to TSR today, had a Rolling Road test done for the first time. Awesome time and some amazing cars and figures produced, an Audi RS6 had 413bhp, a Leon Cupra R had 364bhp! My figures aren't as good as most on there today but I'm reasonably happy with what was produced- BHP-180 exactly Torque- 168lbs Was a little surprised at how hard they push the cars to get the figures, suppose they have to, to get the right readings. Mine revved to 6590rpm :gag: A couple pics and a quick Vid of mine-
  18. Have they not got a twiddly knob at the back of the light unit that you can turn to adjust height? Thats how I turned mine to face down a bit.
  19. Don't worry, mine came apart just the same as originals. Pop the clips round the outside, the glass carefully comes away from the spongy seal and you're there. Inside. I did get mine 2nd hand so don't know if they needed to be turned or not. Really pleased with the quality of the light produced on mine, am running HID's on them. So should be good really.
  20. Thanks for your good comments, its coming along now. Just doing little tidy up jobs. I've been lucky with it so far but don't want to tempt fate! Haha. You want to buy the new wheels or the wheels in the pics? If the ones in the pics, they are actually available. Let us know. They are in the parts section at the mo.
  21. Another quick update folks- Recently picked up a new Corrado badge from TPS, under £13 which I thought was reasonable. I sold my chrome badge because I wanted a clean look rear end, not realising the badge would leave 4 holes in the bodywork, oops. So with not wanted to have the panel filled and sprayed, I've got the badge and sprayed it body colour with a mixed rattle can. Was a good match as well. Also picked up a set of Audi TT Comps in 7.5x17. They were a bit rough when I got them. I've spent the last few days cleaning and polishing them upto a mirror polish finish. They're getting there and will look smart once fitted. Will prob get to fit them in the next week or two, depending on work etc. This Sat I'll be going to TSR for a Rolling Road dayout. Really not sure what kind of power I can expect to see? Any thoughts guys? In the next 2-3 weeks I'll be getting an oil and filter change just to keep things sweet before the winter time. Cheers for now.
  22. Just wondering if you have an approx date for the next batch? Think I'll have a look into getting this. Thanks mate, Matt.
  23. Wow, its been a while since updating things. I'll have to do a bit of a quick skip through things to try to keep it brief and to save my fingers falling off from typing too much :gag: :) Firstly I had the whole car machine polished to remove swirls, scratches and the like. My mate did a great job on it, really brought out the colour- I finally got round to sorting out the water leak on the engine, it turned out to be a broken section in the thermostatic housing. All bits replaced with genuine VW parts. While I had the cooling system drained, I had the chance to carryout the mk4 Golf header tank mod. Especially as mine was poop and you couldn't see any levels. Used G12 coolant to fill back up, I want to do things properly with this car. Got my hands on a pair of fogs from good old Ebay as well. Just a couple of shots taken the other night, I picked up a set of In-Pros and an original Storm grill that I wanted to freshen up the front end. The lights are covered with smoked headlight protectors. I've not been getting much love for these lights but I like them, especially as they run with HID's to make a big difference to night time driving. I know this car is in need of a serious bit of lowering, that will happen one day, just not one soon :cuckoo: I fitted a secondhand sub and amp from a mate that gives good depth to the music without it being a chav window smashing experience, a 12" JBL sub in a box and a Kenwood amp, no pics but you know the thing 8) Been out today and picked up a new toy. That brings me upto date now I think, thanks for looking all. :salute:

    Front end styling

I can see what you mean sometimes when in certain angles. I've got In-Pros behind smoked protectors to keep the shiny look down a bit. The front of mine has caused a bit of 'I'm not sure if I like it' discussion's on another forum. I like so I don't really mind what others are thinking. Would like the car a bit lower though
