1. Isn't it a mk3 ECU? Will that work in the Corrado then?
2. Fantastic news: http://www.guardian.co.uk/science/blog/2012/jul/04/higgs-boson-discovered-live-coverage-cern It's astonishing how much progress has been made in science during my 43 years on earth. I wonder what we will discover in another 20 to 50 years?
3. Could be an interesting show and venue. But someone needs to shoot the website designer!
4. Thanks. Thought I would try some tinted ones but will pass as they are clear.
5. Green storm with reg M1 ### parked in the car park for John Lewis at Kingston today at about 4:40pm.

7. I believe that bishbosh 1 and craigowl may both be selling?
8. My 24v 2.8 Golf feels so much faster lower down. It just wants to go. But the feel is very linear and it suits the more laid back armchair feel of the car. Then I get in the Corrado and am usually disappointed with the power at the bottom of the band until 4k+ and "all hell breaks loose". Part of it is that sound. The 24v sounds nice but the 12v has a unique character and sounds more raw and has more induction noise. Love them both in different ways. The 24v is without doubt the better engine and more suited to modern driving. But the 12v is the one that makes me smile more when giving it beans.
9. Quite ****ed here too. And I agree. Group hug! :hic:
10. Nice touch forum admin. I clicked on an old link from another site and got this. Made my day
11. I'm afraid I can't hel with supercharger questions. But welcome to the forum :)
12. Welcome :) There are several people breaking cars in the "cars breaking forum". But depending on what's broken, the handle is a common fault and someone on here sells a handle repair kit. I'm a bit too drunk to search for it right now though but should be easy to find.

14. Check the battery clamps too. Mine was slightly loose and did something similar until I tightened it.
15. I've never tried measuring properly but about 300 to 350 depending on style of driving. When I did a round trip from surety to Norfolk I was quite surprised how economical it was for such an old big engine.
16. Mine was registered on 18th May 1994 so:
17. Shame about C&G. But at least you tried and you took a brave step. As mentioned by someone above, fortune favours the brave :)
18. Can't help with the cat as I'm so far away and have just put mine back on. But cheap cats here if you're really stuck: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VOLKSWAGEN-CORRADO-2-9-VR6-Catalytic-Converter-Cat-/200697045828?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item2eba79e344
19. That's an absolute gutter. Good luck finding a new job maybe you could hang on to see if something turns up before selling?
20. Yup. It's all done on statistics. So in your area there have been more (or higher value?) claims for cars in garages than there have been on the drive... which is higher in your area than claims for cars in the street. It's purely a numbers game.
21. The wheels in his description don't match the picture so could just be using your car as a reference picture. But very cheeky.

Front splitter

Are you asking me? I'm afraid it has a large split on one corner. I was hoping to repair it but I think it's beyond that.
