Well as I have said, I have the facilities to get video encoded to a PC format. I am just not sure on hosting it. I'm not even sure if Andi could host it. Putting large video clips on websites like this tend to lead to large bandwith bills. I'm sure we'll come up with something nearer the time.

I'm pondering going on a supercar type day some time next year with a mate from work, such is my thirst to drive some of these cars.. Has any body been on any / could they reccomend any in particular?

Most expensive motor I have ever driven is a 'new shape' Lotus Elise, around the test track at Lotus in Norfolk. Was admittedly with an instructor, but he just kept telling me to go quicker all the time.. by the last lap, was taking the car down the factory straight at over 110MPH in 4th Gear ("Don't bother to change up.. just floor it") with that noise howling from the engine behind you. It was spectacular fun.. and the Elise was superb :) Was then taken out in a race spec Lotus Exige, driven by a guy who races in Japan and was over on business and nearly crapped my pants - sheer terror. Looks like I have had it pretty crappy so far.. I need to get to know people who work at car dealerships! :( REALLY want to drive an Audi RS6!! :(

Well I think you only consider the standard Corrado ride height 'tractor' like after you have owned one for a while. Nick's standard black VR6 is on standard suspension, and I was looking at the pictures the other day thinking how the VR seemed to sit just right on its alloys. I do really like the Corrado in standard shape though, suspension and all.. I understand they need to be lowered sometimes, but I not a huge fan of totally decking a car.

Avoid like the plague. As BANANA MAN said, why the hell would companies charge 500 quid for a rechip if there was some miracle cure that could achieve the same results for a tenner? :)

Yeah.. superb start indeed Tom.. covered a lot of the major bases with that already, so i'll just keep thinking of anything else to put in.

I didn't realise that DubForce had only just opened.. so i'll let it slide :)
-
I believe those are customised original BMW units that he is using.. but drop him a PM and find out :)
-
They look reet proper bo I tell thee!! Should be just as good as chucking an anchor out of the window when you need to stop :D
-
Make sure a similar advert for the Corrado Forum is pimped up on the Dub Force forums then please if you are posting here to advertise your site :)

That'd be superb. If you find it let me know - i'd really like to try and get a copy of it so I can copy it onto PC and put it up for download. Original TV reviews of the Corrado seem basically non-existant right now, and I (and I know a few other people here) are pretty keen to get their hands on some original stuff like that.

The new Top Gear bunch borrowed Nicks black VR6 to make an article on the Corrado, and it should be on the show on Sunday 23rd November. Don't know why they decided to do it, but we are not going to complain! :) As for that Top Gear you refer to - I have never seen it, and the only guy on the CCGB who had a copy on tape asked if anyone had the means to encode it (which I have) and despite trying to email him twice to get a copy, he never emailed me back. Does ANYONE have that old Top Gear on video?

Aye... accidents don't usually happen through choice. "Aha! Today I am going to put my car into this hedge!!"
-
Oh I dunno.. I think Guys Supercharged, VSR'd, 3.something litre Storm would have been an interesting choice to use as well.... Standard vs totally the opposite! :D

Pick up a 2nd hand charger on eBay and hang onto it? Aint nowt wrong with a left hand drive motor in the UK? Sure you can get it registered and MOT'd!
-
Whats the deal with these people getting out of their cars? Coming to try kick you in for showing them up in their crap cars?! Muppets.
-
Well for those that are interested, I have asked a mate of mine with the facility to record TV programmes to his PC to record it for me. I'll be getting it encoded and uploading it somewhere (don't know where yet, but will think of something) for us all to keep.
-
I'll see if I can remedy that in Photoshop after I have eaten my soup, and my cheese sarnie!! :D
-
And may I say, what a beaut it is :D Can't wait to see it on the TV.

That looks like the PVW feature car from a few months back :)

Another good one, similar to the Nova story. I once travelled up with Manchester with a mate of mine on the train to buy this old D reg Toyota Celica for like £800.. he had been after one for ages, and this came up as the cheapest. It wasn't a bad so we took a day off work and went to buy it.. It was a bit of a nail but it lasted him for a good year before he scrapped it. But it did have the two litre engine and it was quite potent. So anyway a few weeks later he is driving down the road at work near to where we live and this Nova 'spots him' and pulls out of a junction to keep up with him... the Nova proceeds to chase him down the road, and my mate is thinking nothing of it.. he then sees out the corner of his eye the Nova trying to overtake him!! So he cracks it down a gear and puts the pedal to the metal... cue one Nova sat driving down the middle of the road trying to overtake a Celica that is no longer there :D Muppets... I don't know why they even TRY. :D

If you wanna email me some pics Nick, I can host em for you... As long as there aint like 500 of em. PM me if you are interested and i'll send you my email.. i'm not gonna post it directly into a thread any more because I am getting so much spam from bots crawling the web now, its a joke :(
-
Well we already knew that :D Not the first time the Corrado has been in there either.. I remeber it had a feature spot on their back page where it got a whole heap of praise.
-
Hm.. always handy to know good local body shops! Cheers for that :) Where abouts in Warwickshire are you Blair?

Nearly filled my pants when a mate of mine took me round the city ring road at 90MPH and lost control.. in a crappy old Astra 1.6 SR. We went into this sweeping corner and the car stepped out at the back - we went sideways, backwards, etc and somehow only clipped the barrier and smashed the indicator. Skidded to a halt facing the other way in a cloud of tyre smoke and I was genuinely terrified. We laughed about it afterwards, but I was really not laughing at the time.
