  1. I've always gone for good quality tyres.. its the thing thats in contact with the road, and its whats going to determine if you stay on the road if you need to make a sharp maneuvre or hit an unexpected amount of water on a corner or something. Get something good for a bit of peace of mind! :)
  2. I heard Meguires is excellent stuff... And if you fancy paying out a little, Swissol polish makes your car look stunning!

    DUEL STORIES.

So you got a Storm then if its mystic blue? Take care of it.. they only made 250 like that!
  4. Hope you guys have a great day.. the Corrado Forum just had a rolling road shoot out at Stealth last week :D :)

    STOLEN

Aye.. Vinnie Jones / Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels style in the car door!!! Thieving scum.

    STOLEN

Oh man :( I obviously can't understand what its like to have your pride and joy stolen as it has never happened to me, but I am really really sorry for you and I hope you get it back undamaged! :( I just can't get over the car crime in this country now. What the HELL is going on? :(
  7. The CCGB is well worth joining imho - the £15 a year is nothing, and the first discount you usually get on something will cover that cost. I know of reduced insurance with a few insurers, and even the VW dealers hacked some money off parts for me. Got a VW backbox for about £20 less than their list price when I asked about parts club prices because of my CCGB membership! :)
  8. I used to have Pagid 8 Groove Discs on my 16v and they were rather impressive. Teamed with Pagid pads, braking was never really a problem :)
  9. Yeah.. take care of those seats mate! It'd be a real disaster if they got marked / damaged :(

    COLD WEATHER

Yeah - had to scrape ice off the windscreen at 8am this morning. Chuffin cold out there!! Though I couldn't help but think that its ideal weather for all those G60 owners out there!! :)
  11. I dunno.. the Impreza P1 is an absolute stunner!! :)
  12. I love the Impreza.. fantastic shape, superb engine, and hailed by the motoring journo's as much as the Corrado was in its day. I'd love an Impreza any day :) Admittedly there are a lot driven by people who don't really deserve them (thats not levelled at your mate btw - never met him!!) but you just can't not drool at special edition Scoobys. An old lady at work drives an Impreza Terzo III - the classic blue with gold wheels, and a huge great spoiler on the back. Teamed with that Prodrive exhaust, when it rumbles past me I can't help but want that car!! :)
  13. To be honest, for £5000 you should be able to find a very good condition lowish mileage car. The VR6 engine itself is very good, and if serviced and well looked after should give you no trouble. But the Corrado is renowned for being a bit of a sod with some things, and if you are looking for a car to do a lot of miles in (18,000 is a fair few) I wouldn't think the VR6 is the best choice. I mean I can't really say as I have never owned a VR, but from what I have read over recent weeks I wouldn't particularly want to put my trust in one as a steady reliable motorway muncher.
  14. Well I know 2CC was keeping a list of results.. but he called me yesterday evening as his Corrado VR6 broke down about 2 miles away from his home. He is hoping that its just the fuel pump as he cannot hear the usual fuel pump whirr or anything before he tries to start the car.. and the symptoms of it not starting are typical of fuel not getting to the engine. A local garage owner who came over to help agreed with that diagnosis too so.. So to answer your question.. he probably would have put some figures up last night, but it'll be more likely that they'll posted in the next day or so now :)
  15. I couldn't get over the heat that Guys VR kicked out the back of it though.. I was stood about a 1/3 of the way up the car but quite close to it, and as it was getting into its stride I was aware that my legs were starting to bake with the exhaust gasses coming out of the back!
  16. Not so good.. around 240BHP, though I think he said its down to an out of date program or software for his engine management.. he thinks if he gets that nailed, it'll be a totally different machine.
  17. Not sure of his name, but there was a rather crafty VR6 which looked totally standard but bashed out 276BHP thanks to its supercharger and who knows what else! :)
  18. That can be found here for those that wanna know :)
  19. Well got Tom to lock the other thread as it was getting a wee bit lengthy, so thought I would start off a new one to post thoughts / thanks and results. I'd like to extend a very big thanks to funky for arranging the day which passed without incident, and of course thanks to Stealth Racing for hosting us. I think we all had a really good day, myself included when I got my Saxo rolling roaded at 112BHP when the standard is sposed to be 98BHP :) Nice to meet all the usual suspects, and of course nice to meet some new faces :) Piccies to follow from me in a little while!
  20. I believe its kicking off about 9am Jeremy :)
  21. Don't worry CorradoVR6-n.o.s - you are not stepping on toes. It was most certainly a handy tip! Anything to prevent Corrado owners from paying through the nose at the stealer! :)
  22. Jim

    Oh Bugger

Oh yea.. prepare to be thrashed by my Saxo Ant :D :D
  23. They ended both auctions early.. thats pretty lame.
  24. Nice! Thats very good of you to arrange that for the forum! :) I can make this post a sticky to draw some attention to it?
