Well a lot of people seem to bad mouth Clifford alarms, but I can vouch for two satisfied Clifford owners, and thats me and Andi (the forum Admin) - I have the Concept 300 as installed at a Clifford 'certified' installation centre and have had it for about 5 months so far with no problems. To be honest, you can't really go wrong with any well known CAT1 alarm - anything to help deter those thieving mongrel scumbags from getting at your pride and joy.

twan, Welcome to the forum :) First thing you should be aware of there is that the VR6 doesn't actually have a timing belt - it has a timing chain instead, because its a V6. This should never really need replacing, so its possible they might have changed some other belts in the engine somewhere? The VR6 engine, as far as I know, is not a partciularly fast revving engine - it makes excellent progress through gears, but its not particularly revvy in the same way that Honda engines and so on are.. I suspect if the car is running as well as you say it is, then it probably isn't anything major to worry about.

Dunno.. just doesn't do it for me. I have seen some Rieger stuff that I like, but for me the ideal Corrado has always been a standard one, with just a few 'pick me ups' such as improved suspension, etc.

I know it sounds a bit daft, but I just wondered.. has anyone ever mated the VW G-Lader with a VR6 engine? Obviously people have supercharged the VR6, but I just wondered if anyone had ever done it with an actual G-Lader. Is such a thing even possible?! No real reason for asking.. it just popped into my head and made me wonder :)

I'd say 97RON is good enough.. I don't think you REALLY need the octane booster. Unless like Ant, you are trying to wring every last drop of power out for racing or somethin :)

Man... you sound exactly the same kinda 'annoyed' with your Corrado as I used to feel when it gave me agro. Yes.. NOT cutting out when I drive down the road would be too much to ask wouldn't it? Etc etc... Hope you get it sorted soon! :)

Well I think the CCGB's main beef (which I do understand) is that they would want their own moderators to be able to run their own forum if they had one. But Andi has put all the time and effort into this place, and he wants to keep it as his forum with the moderators of his choosing. I think for that reason alone, a simple merger is not possible. It doesn't bother me though.. I use and enjoy both the eGroup and the forum. Its probably for the best that they keep seperate :)
