    Which polish?

Skid, For some reason this particular post freaked out the system and i've had to split all of the replies off into a different topic which you can find here. Sorry bout that.. but gotta lock this one now!
  2. This thread is a bit busted. And now its fixed... yay ;)
  3. I've seen what Swissol can do first hand, and whilst I think its f'ckin expensive, it does do a superb job. 2CC did his VR6 with it, and combined with an alloy wheel refurb he had done, his car was transformed into what looked like a showroom ready car - it just looked absolutely mint. I have also heard nothing but good things about that gold class meguires so... guess its down to personal preference and how much you have to spend :)
  4. I can't wait to see what Top Gear have to say about the Corrado when they show their little Corrado article some time this third season. Wonder if they have any 'celebrity' owners or anything come on the show. I did check the credits for Top Gear on the show recently and that Rowland guy who posted on here was listed as a researcher so I am pretty certain we are gonna see something :D
  5. Majik, Problem is its not too easy to turn a bright yellow car into a black car - though if you have a side view photo of your car mate, I can just chop the wheels onto it and try make it look similar? I'll try in the mean time but no promises :)
  6. Ants car is actually that low.. original image attached below so you can get an idea. When you drive in it, its like sitting level with the road surface!! ;)
  7. Was talking to Ant a little bit this weekend about possible changes to his car, alloy wheels, etc.. he sent me an image over of his car to work on. Kinda liked the end result so I thought i'd share it. Its not HUGELY changed over the original, but gave it some nice Kahn alloys (I think - pinched em off an Ultima GTR), removed the mirrors, gave him a chin spoiler and removed the door handles. Plus I sharpened and cleaned the image up a bit to make it brighter :) I personally really like it - wouldn't mind a Corrado looking like it thats for sure.
  8. On the VR you can use 95RON stuff.. but as the book says, it prefers to run on Super U/L or Optimax. You will definately notice a performance increase, and generally much smoother performance. Plus (supposedly) prolonged engine life. Give it a try and see if you notice the difference. If you don't, don't use it any more.. all it cost you was a couple of quid more than your usual fill up :)
  9. I found that my Corrado did have a serious dead spot in the middle of the gauge, so don't panic *just* yet. Expect about 250-300 miles out of a full tank when doing the normal around town kind of driving. Well, thats what I used to get anyway on my 2.0 16v :)
  10. Don't worry about gate crashing... we welcome ANY VW owners but obviously the Corrado takes the majority of discussion.. :)
  11. Well one Campaign bit the dust, and the interior found its way into Majiks car!! So strike down one VR6 Campaign! :(
  12. I've seen some body kitted / neon washer jetted / phat exhausted Rover 214's around here just lately that have made me howl. And of course the done up Nissan Micra complete with white alloys, big exhaust, and various body additions... and of course 'micrasportclub.co.uk' or something similar stuck in the window. On some cars this is permissable, but not on a Micra ffs ;)
  13. Good luck - hope you manage to get it :) And of course, we wanna see pics in the gallery! :)
  14. Andy, Welcome to the forum :) The only thing I can say about the charger is you need to use a bit of common sense with it. If you take the car out and rag it from start to finish, like the engine, the supercharger is gonna be giving up REALLY soon. If you treat it right and let the car get warm before giving it any stick, and then giving it time to get back to regular temperatures before parking the car up you should probably do fine. There was also a discussion on here a while back advising G60 owners NOT to take their cars right up to the red line whilst driving as it doesn't do the supercharger any favours. As for the choice of cars.. the 2nd one does sound nicer. If the 220BHP has been engineered by JabbaSport, you should be pretty safe. The 45mm drop is probably just right as well :)

    MkV Golf

I like that the engine is a turbocharged FSI engine! I guess being partnered with companies like Audi has benefits :) Not bad though.. I really like the design of it, and interior + dials look ace!! :)

    newbie.....

Not for me its not :( Welcome to the forum anyway :D
  17. Its actually a 2.8i with a Turbo Technics conversion on it.. pretty darn brutal and its up for sale at about £3000 :) Always had a bit of a soft spot for that Capri - got taken out in it once and it scared the stuffing out of me.
  18. Heres another.. went out and chatted to my neighbour who knew the owner (the son of a fellow who lives down the road). He came up and chatted for a bit, started the car and revved it - I tell you I have never heard a noise like it. You can keep your TVRs - the noise from the Aston is like nothing I have ever heard. Awesome. And when he went off up the road at full tilt.. jesus, it was LOUD. Anyway - here is a better picture :)
  19. Hehe... I wish my Saxo DID look like that.. jesus. Its awesome, and its HUGE as well.. really stands out. I'm just about to go down town so i'll walk past with my camera and get some more pictures :)
  20. Just happened to look out of my living room window this morning and noticed this parked out the front of the house.. got to be worth a picture I think! Its still there as well.. keep wondering about walking outside and snapping a picture or two :)
  21. Wtf... I guess we just live in the wrong country mate. I could have bought that car outright for that kind of money!! :(

    newbie car

Matt, Welcome to the forum. Looks very similar to my old 1994 Blackberry 2.0 16v - though I never had leather in mine. Performance mods are a little limited on the 2.0 16v unless you fancy spending quite a bit of cash. Best bets for a very small performance boost (but generally better feeling car) might be a replacement air filter element and good quality sports exhaust (obviously a bit of extra noise, but nice noise from the 2 litre engine). A rechip is quite expensive and doesn't release huge amounts of performance on the 16v.. but if you have the money to do it, its worth doing.
  23. Wow.. keep us posted on what happened! Its not often you get a chance to take the law into your own hands! Well done!!!
  24. Yep.. the silver already looks quite nice Ant. I personally wouldn't change em.. just get em refurbed :)
  25. I have a shot of Campaigns Campaign (ahem) but its in shadows, and from the time of year where the roads get your car REALLY mucky and grimey - so the colour is very hard to make out. But here tis anyway.. The colour could probably be best described as a kind of dark brown with red mixed in, which does sparkle a bit in direct sunlight. Whenever the next show is on (and Jeremy is there in his Campaign) I must remeber to take a whole bunch of pictures as this topic does come up quite a bit :)
