  3. The metal pipe i would assume will be unique to the G60 engine Just remember the age of these cars the ones on ebay may be as bad as your own The rad support is a well known rust weakness best to try and save your own if you can
  4. Hello your best bet is to try Ebay or the corrado graveyard if no one on here has a spare they may be willing to part with. Have you tried VW classic parts in germany? - may have them if you are lucky

  12. Hope it helps I have a G60 myself and the VAG tech that set my car up was a bit hesitant to undertake the work as it had been something like 15 years from he last worked on them but once he seen the car he started to remember on its set up and quickly had it running a lot better The booklet is real old school when vw sent hard paper copies to all dealerships Yes i have the full booklet an ebay purchase long time ago. Hope you get the car running and if you need any thing from the booklet just ask Gerard

  19. To be honest i have been in a state of disbelief all day and i actually feel like loading it in my van driving to germany and throwing it over the counter at someone purchasing it via email i thought was better due to language barrier
  20. I have several cars all in various states of repair one being a late mk2 16v that i bought stripped with all the parts boxed The car a previous crap repair to the sill on the passenger side - full of filler with rust below Anyway i started repairing it but decided to take a break from it but have recently started again but looking at my previous repairs i was unhappy with the welding - strong enough but a bit ugly to be honest and i got a bit carried away with a sanding disc and managed to burn through the metal So i decided to look for rear quarter panel to take the bottom 6 inches or so and repair again I wanted a genuine panel this time as the previous one was not great so after a time i found one listed by supplier in germany - made contact asked to confirm the panel was genuine vw to which they confirmed and that it was new - great i thought asked to confirm a cost inc postage to belfast - i ended up paying 650 euros and paid by bank transfer About 14 days passed and it arrived and my heart sunk once i opened the packing - to be honest i was expecting a few dents etc but what was in the packing was just absolute JUNK It looks as if it has been removed from a car slapped with some black paint the inside looks as if its painted with under body sealant It even carries an aftermarket label I have sent an email to the seller demanding a refund but as of today no reply i fear the worst see pictures below - it has to be seen in person to see how bad it is
  21. That is some list there What i admire about both porsche and mercedres and to a certain extent bmw is that long after their cars have gone out of production you can still buy many parts especially body from the dealers at mainly acceptable costs which shows they have a great deal of pride in their cars - something VW and especially Audi now fail to do - must be the accountants I do have a soft spot for Audi myself as my father drove them for many years and never had any problems but the prices on audi tradition scare me so i would only buy one already done. I can see where you are coming from in buying a car that someone else has completed What ever you choose to purchase i am sure it will be a good one I cant help but think that listening to the news yesterday a lot more cars are going to come on to the market where some poor sod will be parting with their pride and joy Best of luck with your hunt and tease us with your potential purchases
  22. Cant believe it All that effort for perhaps the best vr6 corrado around. I hope you get what you want for it and who ever buys it wont be disappointed Always enjoyed your posts and great knowledge of everything corrado Sad day hope you keep looking in and let us know what you buy
  23. My car came originally through R Robinson & Co Norwich - I believe still trading today First registered to an employee of Norwich Health authority Is it just me but do a lot of corrados have kept their paperwork where i find most mk2 golf gti owners have not!!
