i have been looking on line and cant seem to find anything with regards to older vw engines and e10 fuel dont know when i will be back at a vw dealer to ask. is anyone aware of anything ??
-
I remember the Autocavan and Uro - They broke the vw dealer monopoly on parts as they sold a lot of genuine parts at half the price

It would be really interesting to see these i bet they possibly still have the new car smell!! Possibly these owners dont do social media or internet etc which you have to respect or just very private

If i remember top gear tested one of the first corrados to come to the uk - a silver g60 lhd on a f reg. Tif ? absolutely thrashing it.

That does not look to bad to be honest as normally there are holes now, it is behind that where the serious rot could possibly be along with the fuel tank support bracket Unfortunately you will need to remove the rubber boot and fuel tank to investigate - seller might not be too keen on this. What prices are being asked for corrados in Germany?

i know that well with these cars its buy buy buy what you can when you can and store it. has he still got the existing ? and get a new core.

Great find this i was beginning to think that this was never going to be sorted as above i rarely use my sunroof and when i do i cringe waiting for the inevitable failure.

its funny how things come around again Years ago i was offered a set of these for £60 and a set has appeared near to me for £450 complete and i must admit they do look good on a mk2 golf (better than a corrado!)

Corrado breakers - who are you using to keep your motors on the road?
ger040 replied to _Matt_'s topic in General Car Chat
Hopefully someone will come up with a solution with a repair kit of some form. Mine still works and i did strip and clean it with the correct lube etc but to me it still struggles and when i use it (once a year with our weather) i await the dreaded failure. One thing i did was to replace the rubber ends on the arms (im sure it was on this forum) to ensure the arms lift as they slide along the mechanism 9 -
Thats rare - something for a corrado that is readily available and cheap enough!!

try a bit of heat if there are no plastics etc in close proximity
