Looking good mate, glad you've got most of the problems sorted. Like the leather! I know you're painting the grill badge black, but maybe you should leave it alone and get a front VR6 badge to let the world know that you're now running with the big boys! :D

I like Speedline Chrono.

Need some help, what to do with my car im trying to sell..
wy906 replied to -Neil-'s topic in General Car Chat
Temporary Cover. That’s what I did when I bought my C and selling my old car when there was a two-week overlapped period. Your existing insurance company should be able to help you with that. - Switch your existing policy to new car. - Add temporary cover to your C until you’ve sold it. My insurance company (Elephant) allowed me to extend it week-by-week. RE: Tax, I would leave it on the C if I was you cos as you’ve mentioned already, it would put people off. -
No worries about engine running hot! :D

Ok I know it's probably cliché to like a song featured in an advert, but I quite like the one in the Nikon advert. It's 'Welcome Home, Son' by Radical Face. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bLzGlRWBW38

Easily the best episode in recent years! Really enjoyed that!

Cool! :salute:

'tandino' (Pete) fitted them for me. Totally transformed the front-end; the car doesn't feel heavy under braking. Very worthwhile safety upgrade IMO. I got the calipers from ebay (2nd hand re-furbed) for £79 inc P&P. Plus the brembo disc, taxtar pads and hoses and Pete fitted them for me. There are a couple of threads about the parts and I've got a couple bookmarked: http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=72642 http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=77490&start=30

Ok thank. I'm not worried about the tires as I'm planning to get new set anyway, but yes, please let me know once you've bought new wheels then I'll pm you and maybe work out a deal or something; there are a set of RZs on sale at the forum 'parts for sale' but they are located in Derby so too far... Cheers! If I knew they actually did RZs with 5-stud then I wouldn't have bought the BBS Solitudes! I thought only G60 4-stud! Duh! Nevermind. :) VRs sound great above 3500rpm don't they! Hope you get the car back soon!

Got four different quotes from different garages to fix the minor rust (arch) and the dent. I’ll get it done before winter (funds permitting and all that). With a bit of wax /cleaning, the rest of the body actually isn’t bad at all (except the usual stone chips and parking scrapes from past owner etc). No need for a full respray. Looks great under the sun!

Well done mate! Hope you get all the niggling problems sorted soon! Are those 15 BBS RZ? What conditions are they? Let me know if/when you're getting rid of them.
-
From memory they look the same. Thanks for the link!

My brake pedal’s rubber has split. Where can I get replacement? Dealer? I don’t need anything fancy, just OEM. Thanks!

Anybody got one for the C? Do they fit Corrados (late)? They RS one looks nice and good value. http://www.porscheshop.co.uk/acatalog/non_air_bag_steering_wheels_porsche_momo.html Thanks. BTW they are made by MOMO.

VRTrickster - You’re not far from me then.... I’m just in Brighton. I guess for those without a garage, there isn’t a magical solution. Guess I just have to keep washing/waxing every couple of weeks then. To be fair the wax seems to be doing a good job. Water seems to just ‘slide’ off the paintwork so hopefully the droppings are not doing too much damage.
-
That's exactly what happened to the bit on the roof. :(
-
I only have time to wash & wax the car once a fortnight. Also I live in a flat so that doesn’t help either. I don’t mind the car looking a bit dusty but damn droppings! Thank you all!
-
Never considered face wipes, interesting! At the moment I just use water (warm where possible) and paper towel to get rid of them. Most of the time the droppings are all dried up. Wax – I use Collinite No. 845 http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/wax/collinite-no-845-insulator-wax/prod_208.html The droppings haven’t left any mark on the paint apart from a bit on the roof. :(

Seriously, don’t worry about it, I know it’s PITA changing all the wheels and stuff. Thank you anyway and have fun with your new kit!

I’m being very careful on where I park my car (not under trees etc) but being in a seaside town with a million seagulls doesn’t really help. I wash and wax the car around every two weeks but I’m fighting a losing battle. Sometimes I don’t get to check on my car for a few days, so, does the wax offer sufficient protection to the paint?

Good stuff! Could you put on a set of standard Speedlines then report back please? :)
