  1. My car looks best when viewed from afar. (It's that tiny 'dot' at the bend)
  2. I know.... I was being a cheapskate. Phillips only cost me £18 from ebay, which is ¼ of the cost of Bi Zenons. Tried to take short-cut when changing the bulbs (i.e. not removing the headlight units) and failed miserably. Then discovered the screwdriver that I’ve got isn’t long enough to reach the middle screws. All sorted now. Car is running beautifully (touch wood touch word). I love it!
  3. ^^^^ Cheers for the comments guys. Just fitted Phillips X-treme; haven't tried them in anger yet. 8)
  4. Watching BTCC at Oulton Park on ITV4 this afternoon , the camera caught a glimpse of a dark colour Corrado parked track-side. :D
  5. While I was changing the light bulbs for the headlights, two alcoholics walked by and one said the other, ‘that’s a proper motor mate’, and he continued ‘it’s a f**king Scirocco!’ As they walked past and the chap saw the rear badge and said ‘it’s not a Scirocco; it’s a f**king Corrado!’ Highly amusing.
  6. Be interested to know how it feels once fitted with the new 280 rear. Mine has only got 288 front at the moment so same as yours. :D
  7. Yes it's parked on the left as you head south? Does look nice. That's the one!
  8. ^^^^ How cool is that!
  9. Not much... Just 1 x 1 litre & 1 x 4 litre of engine oil.
  10. I try to be careful on where I park my car... but sometimes there just isn't an option. :(
  11. VERY NICE! But my Ice grey seems to be a bit lighter than everyone else's.
  12. My car's bodywork is far from perfect, but still it's not very nice coming home from work and found this! :censored: :censored: :censored: :censored: :censored: :censored: :censored: :censored: :censored: :censored: :censored: :censored: :censored: :censored: :censored: :censored: :censored: :censored: :censored: :censored: :censored: :censored: :censored: :censored: :censored: :censored: :censored: :censored: :censored: :censored: :censored: :censored: :censored: :censored: :censored: :censored: :censored: :censored: :censored: :censored: :censored: :censored: :censored: :censored: :censored: :censored: :censored: :censored:
  13. I like these but don't think they suit my very blue very purple Ice Grey Violet. http://www.larkspeed.com/index.pl?p=SP2116716AN&a=i#
  14. Whereabouts do u live Kev? :D I HAVE FIRST DIBS!
  15. Anyone got an Ice Grey Violet with non-standard, darker colour wheels? Please could you post a couple of pics? Thanks!
  16. Exactly how I feel. The 4x4 ride height (esp at the rear) is kind of silly. I think a subtle drop of 30mm would suit the car better. Or, maybe what I really need is drop of ride height AND 16" wheels? I'm just saving up at the moment for a set of coilover.
  17. Cheers Kev! Next on the shopping list: - New auxiliary water pump as mine is toasted - New tyres cos my budget front tyres are just awful; noisy and bad grip - Getting the tiny rust patch at the wheel arch sorted - Getting the front wing dent sorted - New exhaust; mine is rotten! Just need to prioritise or win the lottery!
  18. Spotted yesterday morning, a mint-looking Classic Green parked up in Small Dole (I think) near Brighton. I was driving past in my C.
  19. The engine now sounds like a healthy VR6 should! :D
  20. The stopping power has definitely improved..... and it may sound strange but the ‘nose’ doesn’t feel as heavy under heavy-braking. I haven’t upgraded the rear to the 280mm set-up as I’ve been told by many that the ‘improvement vs cost’ isn’t as drastic as the front upgrade. Bear in mind that I’m comparing the new set-up with new discs and pads (front & rear) against worn discs & worn pads.
  21. Just had the following works done, courtesy of forum member ‘tandino’, thanks mate! - 288mm front brake upgrade - New rear disc & pads - New rear wheel bearings - Gearbox oil change - Bonnet cable fixed - Boot parcel shelf strap fixed - Driver’s seat tilt adjuster fixed - Diagnosed / fixed the loud rattling noise coming from the driver’s side of the engine - Alternator /Ancillary drive belt, tensioner / pulley & new water pump ‘tandino’ even washed my car! Top geezer! :salute: Also picked up a set BBS Solitude from ebay; they're in above average condition and I think I can just about get away with not refurbishing them. I plan to fit winter tyres on them so that's ok. Need a set of new centre caps though. 288mm Upgrade BBS Solitude
