  1. Try finding one though :D (Unless you want to pay about £270 for a new one)
  2. Out of interest, can you get hold of other parts like the instrument binnicle screw covers and blanks? I'm sure you would do well out of these if you put a minimum buy quantity of 2-3 per person?
  3. Think you're going to have your work cut out on this one Matt and I reckon there will still be allot of demand long after the first lot of people have paid :)

    Recaros

Times like this I hate having grey leather :( lol
  5. Yeah you're probably right. I'll probably just fit the Cassette holder as it is for scene points ;) haha
  6. A night at a Premier Inn with the moderator Toad would probably do it :cowboy:

    Sill rust...

The only reason they would rust on the main sill would be a previous dodgy repair, split underseal or a scuff that hasn't been attended to. I believe an area which is now coming to light is the lip section just in front of the rear wheel (what I like to call the "stonecatcher"!) but even so that repair is fairly simple if treated early. After 16 years I think it's about time my underseal on the sills was redone in case theres anything lurking :)
  8. I've got one :) But I would sell it with the ashtray thats in it. £11 inc postage and paypal fees?
  9. Blimey Steve you must use your headlight switch like an indicator :D I did think about getting a couple, but then I remembered the only reason they go wrong is because of the heat from the bulb, which the new one doesn't have ;)
  10. Hi mate, got one on fleabay just after you posted :(

    black bootlid

OK well Corrado owners obviously have more parts stashed away than I thought
  12. Another VR6 owner here in Colchester (well, just outside of it!) :thumbleft: Happy to meet up you in Braintree or Colchester if you want some advice.
  13. Out of interest "- The Dim-Dip circuit on UK RH Drive Corrados will not be operable." So, what effect will this have? Not sure what this means?
  14. Woohoo no more over-rev on gearchanges :)
  15. Another thing I did late last night that i've been meaning to get around to for ages was to paint the accelerator pedal. Another sign of age. Painted with 2 coats of Hammerite Smooth then finished off with a spray of Hammerite Smooth with a tin. It's a little bit shinier than I was expecting but still looks a million times better and will no doubt dull with some foot wear. I know people use the Scirocco auto pad but I found it stopped the pedal hitting the stop and ruined my gearchanges as it's quite a chunky thing. Yes, the paint will eventually wear through again but not exactly a hard job :) It's all in the detail ;)

    black bootlid

To be honest I would say a request for a rust free bootlid would be totally impossible. A known weak spot for rust is the rear number plate light. Have you considered getting your existing one repaired?
  17. Is there a guide to cleaning this out on the forum?

  19. Been thinking about the Cassette holder and how I can bring it into the 21st Century. One of the things I miss about the R32 is the factory navigation and I will need one for the South Of France next month. But if there's one thing I detest it's a GPS device hanging off the screen. So my thinking was that I could cut away the gubbins of the cassette mechanism, find a navigation device that fits near perfect into the hole thats left and hardwire the navigation in. Should look fairly OEM, modernizes the dash a little without ruining valuable OEM dash bits and is totally removable :) Problems I can see; 1. Navigation voice may be blocked as the microphone may be blocked. But these things can go pretty loud. 2. The GPS signal may be poor being that low down in the dash, but you can by an GPS ariel that sticks into the windscreen. What i'm trying to aim for;
  20. Quality seems to be spot on. Not sure how it will last but considering the awful quality of the OEM leather it can't be much worse. Yeah, St Peters beer. Cheap and nicely sized bottle.
  21. Here you go :) Bare in mind you pay a 100 euro deposit on top on this price until you return your old one. http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=140535782747&ssPageName=ADME:L:EOISSA:DE:1123
