Well, leading a pretty depressing existence at the moment thanks to the problems with my leg. Neither of my cars have been cleaned in 6 weeks and unable to do any real work on them. Thankfully it seems I am over the worst of it...until next time :( Another one of the downsides of this illness is that you have allot of time to look at eBay so I have opened the purse strings a little. My "new" (refurbished) steering wheel arrived today from Germany and seeing as all that was required was to sit in the car and undo 1 nut I thought why not :D Didn't ask for the red stitching but to be honest just happy to have a non-sticky/worn steering wheel. I've also ordered a Cassette box holder for the Centre console, planning to modify it into an iPhone Holder if possible but if not then it will add to the OEM'ness of the car :) Oh, and the bottle of beer; my prescriptions had all run out so I thought I would sneak a quick one until I got some more :D

That goes underneath the ashtray. Must be in good working order. Got loads of other interior bits if you fancy a swap.

Anyone know where you can get gold boot lifters from???

The previous owner of my car had some brand new chrome ones he was going to put on. Let me know if you're interested. not sure who makes them though, let me know if interested. -
I got a brand new one about 2 months ago. Packaging was pretty old so guessed it probably would've been one of the last :(

Cheers all :) Really hoping it'll clear up and that will be the end of it. But the recovery time is slow and there's now a high chance it'll come back and cause more problems, especially when agitated by physical activity or another virus. This is after being originally told it would disappear and that would be the end of it... I tried to do a mornings work on Saturday (having signed a bit of paper saying I wouldn't sue the company as officially on sick leave!) but was in allot of pain and now have even more fluid in there. At this rate might mean another visit to A&E to have it drained again. Dunno how i'll be expected to last a whole week when I go back to work :(

Quite a few members were doing this about 7 years ago. Not to my taste but world would be boring if all our C's looked the same :)

Been told that my Reactive Arthritus may not be as short term as I was hoping; 2-6 months with the possibility that I may never be able to run or play squash again :( Quite a blow to someone who does both activities at least twice a week. Whilst a manual isn't impossible to drive the daily driver (Honda Accord Type R) has a bit of a heavier clutch than the VR6 and I may consider selling it if I'm no better in the next month. One thing that's popped into my head as a possible replacement is a VR6 Auto and it probably wouldn't be too hard to find someone to do a straight swap. Anyone got any thoughts on them as a daily driver?

How are you dealing with the lack of air con? One thing i'm not looking forward to next month especially as I have leather seats :(
-
I'll take two please :)

Couple of the ones they've repaired before. You'd literally have to break it into 3 pieces before Mclaren will call it a day. I guess because they are so rare
-
Well, here it is all wired correctly at night :) Well chuffed! Even get the flashing red LED when you lock the car. I've got two spare ones if anyones interested. Drop me a PM.
-
It'll be repaired. You should see some of the F1's that Mclaren have brought back from the dead!

I can't fit the extra m in the title :D

Plug for my roll bar ;) http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VW-Golf-MK3-MK2-Corrado-Neuspeed-28m-Rear-Anti-Roll-Bar-/280719830544?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item415c34ae10#ht_500wt_1156

I've got a centre console but will only sell it with the two outer vents as well. The console has one of the round tabs missing that holds the heater controls in (find me one that doesn't!) but otherwise intact. Would want £85 posted for the lot really as surprisingly bulky.

Oh, and hopefuly if my old man is better a partial respray. If that happens then I might see if the Corrado Club would be kind enough to let me on the Classic Car stand at the NEC ;)

Nothing amazing to report really. Rear ARB came off a few weeks back as the rear was just too stiff with standard suspension. Was fun to try it out though :) As i'm currently signed off work I thought I would phone the Brother-In-Law and see if he could help with my stereo wiring issue. Using the information provided by Yan he was able to work out which wires needed to go where. Was a little unerving watching someone else work on my dash trims (!!) but I now have a period Gamma radio which I now no longer need to input the code every time I start it up and also lights up with the headlight switch. Still have the problem of the rubbish heater control lighting though! Sometimes its the little things that makes the difference. It's so much nicer to sit in a Corrado interior without a bright flashing aftermarket stereo in your face :) The future? Braided hoses and a 90mil splitter will be going on this month before a trip to the South of France. I MAY get the new front suspension on before then but who knows...

Looking forward to seeing this at the Classic Car Show at NEC?

Have you tried Euro Car Parts? They might still offer an OEM equivalent? -
Got one. It's got a couple of scratches on the edge but not visible. How much you want to pay?
-
Out of interest. Is it the low wattage in the bulb that stops light going all the way through or the fascia plate breaking up?

Fake Cockney accent, overalls and a sharp intake of breath at every price quoted and most people will accept you as trade ;)
