  1. The ones that are in impeccable condition continue to command strong prices from what I can see. But the ones that aren't continue to slide towards the £1000 to £2000 mark. The VR6 and G60 are still wanted usually if they are unmodified or in immaculate condition. But the ones that aren't seem to struggle to find a buyer... ...and let's be honest. Even I've had to gawk at the state of some Corrados I've seen at shows, some of with should have been broken years before anyway. No point delaying the inevitable if it's good poor bodywork, full of rust or just generally poorly maintained.
  2. I know i'm biased. But I think it would look so much better with a mint set of Speedlines on ;)
  3. Perhaps you should start doing TDi conversions? :D
  4. Love the engine bay shot, like it's just come out of the factory.
  5. Anyone fitted these to there C before? The standard seats aren't giving me enough support so might invest in a set. Any ideas on the cheapest place to buy or any deals? Don't really want to spend more than a grand max and they retail at about £1200 with the relevant attachments :(
  6. Monday is a Bank Holiday isn't it? I will see if I can move my time off at work :)
  7. Ahh I've just realised who it is now! Obviously married to Macdaddy from the R32OC? :D
  8. Looks like i'll be ordering some on Tuesday then even thought I don't need any! :D
  9. Well I have a week off work from 23rd to 28th of May and I hear the week before the show is the best, maybe a four day trip? Might make a detour on the way home to the VW factory in Munich and grab some VW Classic Parts while i'm there ;) Driving is the only way really despite the massive increase in costs! ;)
  10. Beat me to it by a couple of quid :( http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=330557820337&ru=http%3A%2F%2Fshop.ebay.co.uk%3A80%2F%3F_from%3DR40%26_trksid%3Dm570%26_nkw%3D330557820337%26_fvi%3D1&_rdc=1#ht_801wt_881
  11. Thats a shame. So not even any manufacturers selling anything? (H&R etc) Are you flying over?
  12. Anyone going this year? Also, do people sell many second parts there? Thinking of making the trip but hoping to come back with a few spare parts :)
  13. Anyone know what wire gives dashboard lighting and where it's meant to go? :(
  14. http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C219312# £6900 is a bit of a joke even with lowish miles. Can see a few scuffs in this pictures. Always had a soft spot for those wheels :)
  15. Hoping to get a few mates together in late August for a charity drive to Germany and the Nurburgring. Hoping to raise about £250-£300 per car for the charity Headway. Because my friends are all reaching that age where were having to sell our pride and joys for houses I thought this would be a good way to keep our 'ring trips fresh...and without me sacrificing my Corrado! :D Been trying to put together an idea of how it would work and what cars we could use; Challenge: - Three teams to Purchase a German made vehicle up to the value of £600. Car to be draped in team livery. - Minimum of 3 people in each team, camping only. No hotels! - Travel to Europe and do four laps of the Nurburgring. - When this is completed, all cars will go there separate ways to visit the cars factory of manufacture in Germany to do a museum tour and obtain photographic evidence. - Each team to blog and photograph the whole trip and there experiences. - Find 1 item that your team feels sums up the countries you'll be visiting (France, Belgium & Germany) - Once we get on the Eurotunnel return trip, we'll rate each other in a series of categories to establish who has bought the best car. Points out of will be out of a maximum 50 per category + Reliability and fuel economy + 0-60mph test & a 60-0mph test & top speed on the autobahn vs manufacturers claimed speed. + An inspection to discover what is and isn't working. + Points on general condition. + Spending or retaining any leftover change from the initial budget on repairing and/or modifing the cars + Originality of the items you bought from each country. The Charity Aspect - People to sponsor on the condition of getting back the car back on it's own power. - Any profit from the sale of the car on the return to the UK to go to Charity. Timetable Saturday 5am – Leave via Eurotunnel (Folkestone to Calais) 6:30am – Arrive in Calais. Leave for the Nurburgring. 1:00pm – Arrive in Nurburgring. Visit museum & castle etc Sunday All Day - Carry out each cars four laps. Evening – Smash our lives up with the locals and other enthusiasts! Expect this day to be very busy as it's a usually Touristenfahrten. So the laps will easily take an up a full day. Monday 9:00am onwards: Leave for Factory visit. Depending on what car we eventually get this could take anywhere from 2 hours to 7 hours! Arrive at destination and grab dinner, get drunk etc! Tuesday 10am – Leave for Eurotunnel 7pm – Arrive in UK 9:00pm – Arrive back in Essex So, any ideas as to other ways we can increase charity money & what I can buy for £500? (want to keep back £100 for any repairs that may be required!). One of our participants will require an automatic (he lost a leg). My list so far; - 1995 Ford Scorpio Cosworth(the bug-eyed one, with leather etc) - 1995 Vauxhall Omega 3.0 - Audi A4 & Audi A6 (around 1999) - BMW 318 or BMW 520 (around 1995) - Mercedes C200 or E220 (around 1995) - Audi Coupe (1996) - Ford Puma (2000)
  16. Nope, but they have traffic monitoring ones. So as long as you aren't doing 90mph (fat chance anyway, it'll be too busy on a Bank Holiday) you'll be ok. You're best off going 25>60mph anyway then back again for the noise :)
  17. Awesome, always good when you spot a fellow member on here :) Whereabouts are you based, Colchester? The white one is owned by a guy who is also on here :) He works at the Shell Garage and it's running a 1.8T. The yellow one is also a car I see regularly, I don't know him personally but he's a friend of a friend of a friend.
  18. Cheers mate, also do you have the both black plastic bits on top of the inner quarter trims that the seat belts run through?
  19. Do you still have the sunroof switch surround? If so I'll take it if it's Pearl Grey and in mint condition (tabs not broken)
  20. I will have 3 sets when you sort out the next group buy
  21. Front chassis legs, sections of the windscreen, sills if they are rust-free.
  22. I've got a brand new one, fitted it to mine but removed it a day later as wasn't a fan. £5?
  23. Nigh on impossible to find in perfect nick mate. You can buy a new one from VW Classic parts for about 50 euros.
  24. I think it's more the fact that people are after the OEM or period look. The Gamma is pictured as German spec and does match the dash plastics perfectly :)
  25. The trick for this bodyshop spray glue (the aerosol stuff) that is used for sound insultation etc. Spray the glue under where it needs to stick, leave to go off for a few minutes then stick down, then use a hairdryer to warm the card up and 'knead' the leather over the corners. This is the only thing that will give decent long lasting results and it works treat, as confirmed by me :D ---------- Post added at 08:23 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:22 PM ---------- This is the stuff you need. Get wurth, expensive but you get what you pay for. http://www.linexyamaha.co.za/index.php?nav=category&category_child=subcategory&category_id=1&subcategory_child=subsubcategory&subcategory_id=41&subsubcategory_child=product&subsubcategory_id=112&view=1046
