I need to do a fill on the drivers seat, so it'll probably be a 3 day job. As the car is a daily probably wont start until end of April :)
-
Got 38mpg on trip 1 on the way to work yesterday. Averaging about 32mpg at the moment :)
-
Got 3 but haven't had a chance to put them on classifieds yet, keeping one for when I sell :) Haven't fitted it yet but should just be a case of finding the relevant wire.
-
Wow amazing find :)

Good news, no more bank transfer charges :) http://www.vwheritage.com/vw_act_page.render_pageID_916_lang_EN_country_GB.htm

My first spot in the new VR6 :) Spotted a blackberry VR6 at Newton Green, Suffolk at 6:40pm today. I gave a little wave and the guy flashed his lights :)

I would like to be on the stand, but for some reason I have having troubles getting onto the forum? -
and you can buy the red 16v grille from Classic Parts for less than 20 euros :)

The "what I did to my Corrado today" thread...
Pat_McCrotch replied to Jim's topic in General Car Chat
Rust treated behind the rear plinth and fitted the new one from VW Classic Parts. Also adjusted the door membrane to stop the handle rod rattling :) -
Out of interest, does anyone know if a Passat Dashboard fits in a Corrado. Thinking more for future reference, everything on a Corrado dash is obsolete so it'd probably be less hassle to switch over to it.
-
Ohh this is interesting. A Corrado TDi using period parts :) Does the Passat have one of those cupholders? ;)
-
Have you contacted Thorsten at VW Classic Parts to see if they are putting it in there lineup? I ordered one for my green Corrado in 2009 and it was only manufactured a couple of years previous to that!
-
I woke up this morning and the wife had left a blob of blu tack on the bedside table. I didn't know what to make of it.
-
Yay :) I'm ordering the bits on Monday!

"A local garage thought it would be a good idea to remove the abs sensors in order to stop the abs coming on periodically!" That's funny, what idiots! I believe it's either an M8, but did they manage to get them out? You'll probably find whats left of the thread is still there!

They look awesome :) OEM for the win.

My knob is too small & not as pleasant to the touch
Pat_McCrotch replied to v8rumbler's topic in Interior
I find a moist flannel or wash mitt does the trick with removing most dirt. Do not use kitchen towel as this can get stuck between the base of your knob and shaft. -
does anyone have a corrado that doesnt break?
Pat_McCrotch replied to Danny Ess's topic in General Car Chat
It's all about preventative maintenance. Show it a little love and it will reward you. Drive it and wait for things to break and it'll cost you allot more and hit you all at once financially. -
At the end of the day she agreed to buy the car as it stands and it's something you should have checked prior to putting a deposit down. As the car is 'fit for purpose' (i.e. still working) you wouldn't be able to really do anything under the sale of goods act. How much deposit did she put down? I would personally ask the guy if you could wraggle some more discount and then get it done at a VW Dealer (they are doing a special deal at the moment IIRC). Doesn't sound like the sort of person you can trust to make sure the water pump etc is done.
-
Has she paid the money for the car? If not, walk away.

My original dealer fit radio (Sony) had a ariel booster in behind the radio so radio reception was clearly an issue even when new!
-
Later Passat rear handles look good. Can you tell us what you had to cut to fit them?
-
and it's good for other little jobs as well :)
