It will come good mate. The amount of times I've wanted to set fire to both of mine is uncountable. It's only the forum and support from the Suffolk/Essex members that bring me through! :D

Quick clean and a polish to go with the arches today. I then used a glue gun to put the window switches back it (clips lost as usual!) and also whilst I was bored decided to do something about the gaping hole in the blanking switch (obselete) from where the previous alarm had been removed. Nearly all my previous cars have had oil level sensors and luckily I had a spare VAG sticker (warning for overfill & cat etc) which fitted perfectly with a little cutting over the hole. The photo makes it look extremely bright (it's not that bad) and it's not in your line of sight whilst driving, but will be a good prompt for me to check every once in a while :) The clean highlighted some of the paint areas that I am not happy with, the main bits being the front bumper and near side quarter panel. It's not so much the paint it's the fact they never removed the rear quarter windows, window mouldings or the front bumper. So the bits that will ultimately get painted; - Front Bumper - Both rear quarters and sills (with quarter windows out) - Doors. - Front slam panel. Got a week off late May so it shall be done then :) Popped down to Little Cornard Church down the road and got some pictures;

Still doesn't excuse the fact the guy you bought it from is a pratt for not knowing himself. or for not letting you if he did. -
Wurth, like your style :)

Well it's a nice day today so I thought I would have a stab at cleaning out the rear arches. Couldn't believe the amount of crap that came out of them! Amazingly, there only the smallest bit of surface rust on the join near the fuel filler neck (which is ultimately why I wanted to do this job in the first place). So this was Wurth rust treated, undersealed, painted and waxoiled. There was also the tiniest bit of rust starting to appear on the lip of the same arch, but it was extremely early stages and it's now like it wasn't even there :) The whole thing was finished off with a light spray of wurth cavity wax with allot more used in the joins ;) What i'm guessing was the sunroof drain (small pipe in the OSR arch) was slightly blocked by dirt, so good job I did this when I did! Also cleaned out the sunroof channels (not that there was much grease to remove anyway! amazed it hadn't broke yet) and lubed up with the VAG sunroof grease :)

Might only want 1 now, will let you know in a day or so :)

The VW dealer used to be next to the flyover (my own C was registered new there, local car :) ). I thought they only made about 3? -
It's at the bottom of the forum! :D

Yandards' Blackberry VR6 - Making my garden shed look good
Pat_McCrotch replied to emu's topic in Members Gallery
I nearly went up to Scotland to buy this one a few months back. But the bloke selling it was an absolute nightmare! Spent about two weeks asking him to send more photos, always danced around questions you asked and kept trying to sell me Ford Explorers and Renault Scenics!! Obviously a trader! Will be interested to see how you get on Yan :) Always loved blackberry and I WILL own a Corrado in this colour one day. I take it you're planning on going back to standard seeing as you're after a set of VR springs? -
If someone could get pictures of this at some point I would be most grateful :)

Happy Birthday mate.

Standard suspension back on and 28mil neuspeed rear bar fitted and it's actually pretty bloody good :) Benefits of a decent ride and handling combined with flat cornering and a progressive rear end. The only downside I can for-see is that it will be a little twitchy when it's wet and the tank is near empty. But even Kev seemed to give it a nod of approval when he drove it
-
Nope. You can buy the chrome VR badge from classic parts though.
-
 To be fair the fuel gauge is on red at the moment, so 65 litres of fuel should make it look a little better :)
-
Right, are you ready for photos? :D No longer bothered about the ride height because it drives pretty much exactly how I want it to now :)

The plastic pieces that go on top of the rear leather quarter panel cards (sits in front of the parcel shelf trims. They are all dark grey no matter what interior you have and are held in with a single screw and the belt runs through it.
-
Chains already replaced at 100000 miles by the VW dealer. Never did the clutch though which was odd.

No tram-lining, softer ride, better turn in. What more can I say? :) The AWFUL JOM coilovers went off today (thanks to kevhaywire) and the car is now 99% standard. The only reason I say 99% is because i've got upgraded TT wipers :) Held off fitting the ARB til next week to see what standard suspension was like. Thoughts? Brilliant! :D Perfectly suited to our roads, not too soft nor too hard, not rattling, no jolting, no falling into the car because it's too low and the pulling to the left has also ceased. Drives as straight as a die now :) Things to do; - Clean out arches - Hopefully tomorrow if weather ain't too bad. - Clutch (early April) - Paint (rear quarters, front bumper & front panel.) Then one perfect Corrado with any luck :) Pictures tomorrow.

Pics please Kip :) My column is as loose as an Essex girl on a Friday morning.

Biggest difference between a corrado and a R32
Pat_McCrotch replied to stingman123's topic in General Car Chat
As kev said. Amazing car, but it put a smile on my face for the wrong reasons, more for it's capabilities rather than driver enjoyment. Having owned one, I don't think I would get another. The Corrado always made me feel good. Which is why i'm back in another :) -
Haha :D Considering what i've been lumbered with by the previous owner I think in the short term it will do me fine :) It's all about experimenting anyway and safe to say no ones tried a 28mil rear roll bar with standard suspension, so will be a nice experiment. Unless I end up in a tree outside Ipswich Audi like dinkus though :D
