  1. "are you talking about the metal strip bonded to the glass came off ?" Yup thats the bit.
  2. Strange, Mr Haywire does (94 model year) as he noticed it wasn't working on mine
  3. Yup, 10k since June  At least she's getting used and not left to deteriorate like most C's though. When are you coming around to clear my Garage out? ;) Loads of Corrado odds and sods about!
  4. Noticed the heated mirrors have both stopped working over the last 3 months. Also, one touch works when the window goes down but not up. I'm assuming it's a fuse issue, but does anyone know which one and if it's the same one? :gag:
  5. I was driving to work this morning in the Corrado thinking, "Considering all the other problems everyone has on the forums mine hasn't done anything drastic since the water hose blew on the day I picked it up 10,000 miles ago" What a mistaka to maka. I booked the car in at work this morning to have the tyres rebalanced as I was getting steering wheel shake over 40mph. The car got into the workshop at 4pm (I was out of Office at the time). Apparently the Technician drove the car onto the ramp, got out, closed the door and BANG! Drivers window falls into the door! :help: Turns out whoever did the repair when the car was broken into either didn't use the correct window sealant or didn't use enough as the window had seperated from the lower metal frame which attaches to the regulator :censored: Luckily the window wasn't broken but just to remind you all. NEVER have the thought, "Nothing has gone wrong on my Corrado in ages" otherwise you may be asking for trouble
  6. I can't make Thursday :( Can we just postpone it another week?
  7. They look like Thule Premium ones anyway!
  8. Doesn't matter whether people like them or not in my eyes, it's your car and it's purely a practical measure. If you do get one, make sure you get a recessed one that have cutouts for the bars. This means they sit about 2-3 inches closer to the roof which aids fuel consumption and makes it look better.
  9. LOL If I said they were VW seatbelt holders everyone would be knocking on there Dealers doors  I can't believe no one else suffers from having to reach-around in there Corrado (steady Toad!)
  10. Just saw this on the TT forum. Considering most Corrado seat belts are now a little tired on the retraction front maybe it's worth looking into fitting one into a Corrado? http://www.tt-forum.co.uk/forum/viewtop ... 0#p1639650
  11. Loves Handling Looks Seats Spoiler ;) VR6 engine Reliability Hates Woefully inedequate interior heating Expense of parts Quality and fitment of some interior trims Insurance
  12. Ring up the council for a claim form. We had an A4 in last week where the gritter had damaged the rear wiper, wing mirror and sill
  13. Corrado is the second worst, but that's not saying much as it only let me down the day I bought it when it chucked coolant everywhere. Luckily I was only down the road from Toad's and he came down with a long rubber hose... Leavst unreliable was my Ibiza Cupra TDi. The AA called out 8 times in the 8 months I'd owned it  Sold it after the 8th breakdown as I thought I'd given it enough chances!
  14. Just to let you all know that due to the VAT increase and a 5% Parts Price increase this month the delivered price of the TT Retrofit wipers will increase to £107.50 delivered. Sorry
  15. indeed you do! and he did quite well for you. 2nd place, I'll update the table tonight[/quote:1aseazvk] Swiftkid now drives for "Pat_McCrotch Racing" ;) I've recruited him as my 'technical advisor' to help get my C set up properly
  16. A couple of times over the snowy period my rear calipers were frozen on. I just drove slowly hoping they would free off. However the rear brakes seem to 'hold' even in milder weather like we've had recently and when they are hot and coming to a stop you can feel a strange hold>let go>hold>let go feeling through the pedal. To be honest, I haven't eveb looked at the discs yet. But my fear is theres a massive chunk of pad still on the rear discs! :gag:
