Nevermind the longest, what about the shortest? Who's been so pissed of by the repairs on their C they sold up early!!
-
You should be grateful you don't work in the Parts Department. It's an easy way to spend money you don't have  Thank god for the old Credit Card!!
-
Any decent trimmer should be able to match the black cloth.

Nice healthy figure there

I actually quite like the orange indicators :camp: -
Let us know if you need any help at some point, eager to see how you are getting on :) Useless at electricals, but good at lifting

Washed down with a gallon or two of RedBull, if rumours are to be believed... Yep the rumours are definitely true on that one, if you open the passenger door there is an avalanche of empty red bull cans! I always said Audioscape should've made a one-off set of 'Red Bull Can holder' door pods for Kev  Beers and Coffee first thing in the morning were a good call :salute:

Speaking of fast food, I finally got Kev to eat a KFC on Saturday night after the interior install; Years ago whenever I used to see him he would order 6 Crispy Strip meals without drinks. I remember even the KFC looking at him as if he was bonkers  He said he never really eats them anymore, but I knew he'd never be able to resist the Colonels secret recipe ;)

Can you just not fit two new ones. How much do they cost, £8 a pair?
-
Leaking Cam Covers, leaking sumps and failing secondary air pumps. Otherwise the engine is fairly OK. What you need to be looking at is the history on the multi link suspension; If anythings been done over 40000 miles ago it'll need doing again soon no doubt.

I'll let you have a drive of the R32 when you get it down to Kevs to do the Heated Seat Wiring :)

The cars have to be scrapped right away, so if they are doing that they the likelihood is they will be prosecuted. The idea is to keep old cars OFF the road. Makes me laugh really; we must have had 5 threads in the last 8 weeks with people saying they've heard of xx amount of Corrados being lost to the scrappage scheme and always happen to be either Storms or ones with Recaros  Anyone would think Sky News had bought the forum!! If they really did go on this scheme, chances are they were worthless aside from the odd trim bit. You don't get a decent Corrado for less than £1800 nowadays anyway.

To be honest. Most used ones come up immaculate with a good steam and it'll only cost you around £100

It's not a case of greed Jim; the Pound Sterling is on the floor so anything that currently comes into the UK (especially from Euro currency) is about 15% more than it was two years ago.
-
Was Princess Diana driving one of them? :) I had an older couple with a Green Storm come in a few weeks back who were looking at changing for a new A3. Even someone of that age (60+) knew the car was unique and said he'd rather sell it for £2000 cash than scrap it. I just can't believe someone would be stupid enough to scrap a car like that, most people who own a Storm own them for a reason.

If you want me to bring coils/potential fixes etc let me know :)

Might not seem that important but if your wheel came off 500 yards down the road and you came a cropper (totally unrealistic I know) then they'd no doubt be liable as an MOT Station. I'd give them a pat on the back for noticing it to be honest, means you got what you paid for with the bearings instead of a half-arsed job :)
-
Nice, how much did you pay if you don't mind me asking?

Has anyone received their EBAY "audioscape" £120 pods yet?
Pat_McCrotch replied to mariojoshi's topic in Suppliers Forum
They're not Audioscape made. They sold the moulds on to someone else ages ago. Audioscape no longer do ICE products or builds :( Whats so audio about them nowadays then? -
Yup, TT wipers and arms are the best setup  If you want some drop me a PM.

160k is 'average' mileage nowadays. Bear in mind these cars are now over 15 years old! Condition depends on how well the car has been looked after by the previous owner. Mine was a little ropey in places ('Fred in a Shed' aftermarket parts fitted) but is now mint with OEM parts again :D

You mean coils? I thought that but it's not in limp home mode :? How far have you driven it? Perhaps it just needs the 200 miles to adjust to fueling and your driving style etc? Plus the fact it's not been running anyway for a good few months. I've got exactly the same engine in my R32 and it's hardly the smoothest thing going, even for a 2008 car. But old engine in the new car...love it :notworthy:

Is the car running a black dual temperature sensor? If so replace it with a green one. 059919501A If it's a MKV engine so should have a green one anyway, but worth a look.
