8v Blackberry on PistonHeads. Any one had a look?
Pat_McCrotch replied to Steve Storm's topic in General Car Chat
Far to much IMHO without a service history. You can get a VR with Service History for that money. Not worth more than £1500 -
As above really. Anyone know which bits of a late leather interior are vinyl? Cheers :)

Free of charge? No problem! :D

My brothers been using the Corrado for the last 48 hours whilst his Almera GTi is being repaired (hes fallen for it like I have too ;)) I've unfortunately been in the R32 since Saturday and getting my wallet raped :( When I saw my C on the drive I couldn't resist taking it for a quick spin  Although I've just spent a fictional (est) £400 on getting some leather bits repaired whilst doing it  As much as I love my R32 and it's a truly a weapon. You just don't feel as cool driving it as you do in the C. I'd probably say it gets more looks too!

I work for Audi so i got them at cost price ;) Get them from a TPS Centre or ask a Dealer for 15% off due to the age of the car. With current market condition's the consumer has a little more clout ;)

16v ones are the same as a MK2 Golf, we're talking VR6 here which is MK3 setup. Besides which, non genuine ones will last you about 10000 miles if you're lucky. Most C's are still running on the same arms and bushes as 15 years ago.

Did Princess Diana trade it in? I don't believe for a minute someone would be stupid enough to do that when it would be worth £4k easy. Probably just trying to get a rise.
-
Could possibly be aftermarket rear TCA bushes. Mine has a creaking/groaning noise which is due to a fecked non-genuine TCA bush that seems to have lasted about 10000 miles. Another reason to buy genuine (!!) If it helps, I have a brand pair coming out of some brand new genuine Track Control Arms?

Amazing :D

M-plate Aqua Blue 8v/16v on the M20 earlier today. I was in the classic Green VR :) Didn't wave or anything because I didn't want to look like a bellend but I did see you

Legend! :D And only 30 miles down the road from me too :D My poor credit card :(

My 95 VR6 has a factory beige leather interior. However after 160000 miles the front seats are looking a little tired and the car could do with a retrim (there is the usual odd nick on the seats etc). However, the problem is that EVERYTHING on the interior is pretty much beige. Which limits my choice to a second hand of seats and makes a retrim an expensive option and I've had prices from £800+ :pale: One option I've considered is a set of front MK3 Golf VR6 Black leather seats. I know the runners are completely different but i'm hoping that I can remove the MK3 base and put the foam/leather onto the Corrado base. Has anyone ever done this before? This would mean I would have to get the rear seats retrimed/resprayed and keep the door cards beige. Any ideas what a beige interior would look like with black leather seats. I'm hoping it would be a good colour contrast? :gag: Any ideas for swapping seats from other VW models etc?

Got a spare set for me Steve? -
MOT passed :D The only minor being the Track Control Arm bush on the near side. But I've got ball joints, arms, TT bushes and Eibach Anti Roll Bars to go on very soon anyway! 8) Then the car will hopefully be resprayed in September. I'll get pictures up of progress so far but I think it deserves a good hard clean first :)

Maybe we'll see some Corrado parts come back from obselesence (yeah right! ) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Karmann has reportedly been saved from bankruptcy after it struck a €10 million (£8.6 million) deal with Volkswagen to produce electric vehicles. Neither company has confirmed the reports in the German media, but it is believed that the insolvent coachbuilder will be reorganised to “focus on building electric-powered cars”, according to sources close to the deal. The mass-produced EVs are expected to go on sale in 2011 and are likely to be small city cars. Karmann has history of producing electric vehicles. Earlier this year it showed off its E3 Limousine, which had a claimed range of 90 miles and a top speed of 85mph. The Quicc! DiVa by DuraCar electric van, which was seen at last year’s Paris motor show, was also set to be built by Karmann for the German market. Electric conversions of the classic Karmann Ghia are also in existence.

The paintwork is beyond dead - save up and sort out The sunroof kinda works, ish - Get some VAG white grease and get lubing The spoiler motor is dead - 10 a penny on here and eBay The rear wiper is broken - Ditch the motor and arm. The rear wiper is useless anyway. The bonnet catch is dodgy - Again, 10 a penny. The heater gets colder as the engine gets hotter - Sounds like a valve, cheap enough fix. -

My VR could do with a respray - It's getting done in September. I've spent too much to bail out now!! The issues you mention (aside from paint) are relatively minor in my eyes :) -
Right, in preperation for my MOT on Wednesday I'm trying to get the near side headlight sorted which despite having a new bulb wasn't working on full beam on the near side. I therefore decided to change the loom inside the light. However, despite being what appears to be a fairly new headlight it appears someone has beaten me to it and now after changing the loom again I now have ZERO lights on the near side and hence I'm now panicking because I'm fast running out of time :( Does anyone have any ideas as to what it could be? :(

White 16v/G60 in Chichester in a car park on the one way system yesterday afternoon.

I know this is a difficult question as so many are modified, but whats the best you've got? I've just managed to get 38.7mpg on trip 1 out of my VR6 with 263 cams :D

Looking good, i'll keep an eye out for your car in Ipswich :)

Remove the petrol flap 'grommet' inside the petrol flap. Where the tank nozzle screws to the inner quarter panel it's starts to rot through :pale: Also where the locking pin goes. Theres also a £2 coin grommet insider the arch where the underseal peels away and starts rusting. I've just bought a new 1/4 panel on eBay as eventually I'll need to replace the 1/4 panel (although this will be MANY years away) -
Has your 'rado been mistaken for anything?
Pat_McCrotch replied to Stevo-M's topic in General Car Chat
I did use to see the back of a Laguna miles up the road and think it was a Corrado :ignore: -
http://www.taxdisc.direct.gov.uk/EvlPor ... =link.next According to DVLA it's still on the road :)
-
Right, it's that time of the year :( As far as I'm aware the car is mechanically sound aside from an occasional creaking noise when turning (probably the aftermarket TCA bushes) and a cracked fog lamp. Will the fog lamp need to be replaced? Any other areas I need to look out for?
