I'm a zymol addict, I'm not even going to bother trying anything else after I've seen how amazing this stuff is. mybe when it runs out I might try the swissol stuff, but for now (and for the next 2 years I bet, I've hardly used any!!) I'll be using my zymol I even use it on the door mouldings! it makes them black again, and keeps them black for weeks too.

Does anyone else get that reaction when you tell them what you drive? I'm amazed that most people actually still know what one is these days!! Are they really that exclusive? people still seem to act as though they are quite a flash car to own (even though you can pick them up for a grand).

There's no evidence to suggest that 268's offer a peaky delivery or affect low down torque to a noticeable degree. have a look on http://www.vwvortex.com in the 12vVR6 forum. cam debates come up regularly, and the schrick 268 always comes out as favouriate, an there's many many dyno plots to look at too.

quality of workmanship looks utterly amazing, but I'm getting the feeling we're not going to be seeing anything particularly ground breaking here? I mean, a6 door handles, porker mirrors....it's nothing we haven't seen before many many times is it?

forget the calcs on tyre sizes. the simple facts are that the 1.8 16v is a gutless peice of sh1te, and most roads cars come out of the factory with horrible gear ratios too. wheels are not going to fix it......

leave the hole where the boot lock sits, and have a bit of wire rigged up connected to the latch mechanism. then you can pop off your rear number plate trim and pull the wire. saying that, you'l ve probably had the tailgate all plated up.........

just cleaning the crank sensor (engine speed sensor) up seems to help it start up better I've found. it's on the front of the block, under the oil cooler. easily accessible from underneath.

just rip the sunroof out. it'll probably be broken already anyway so it won't matter much. :lol:

JP Exhausts in Macclesfield will do you a cat bypass pipe for under £50.

I usually drop it on the rear mounts, then bolt up the front crossmember afterwards.
