  1. UK shows are utter w4nk compared to the euro ones. I thoroughly reccomend you attend at least one a year. We're going to do woethersee next year.
  2. mental. I've had about 7 hours sleep since thursday, and I'm still p1ssed out of my head! (I drank a bottle of whisky last night...a 1 litre one!! then entertained myself in the piano lounge, and I can't even play!) my mate had to take my car off me and drive me to work because I was in such a state this morning...and still am in fact. some awesome cars out there though, pics coming soon. just need to work out what 6600rpm really is with my gearing and tyres. I reckon that's a real 150mph, it'd have gone off the clock if I'd had a better chip so I could have revved further.
  3. I locked up at 100mph, nearly stuffed it into the back of a van! oops! then the steering went funny a few miles later, pulled over and found out both front wishbone bolts were loose! need longer bolts now I have the Weichers strut brace under there.
  4. nice paint job and iinterior, but arches and wheels are pap and ruin the whole look of the car, shame.
  5. yeah, rear knock sensor connector wasn't plugged in properly, and kept coming loose, that was it.
  6. Just about clipped the limiter in 6th, well, it was stuttering as if it was getting there anyway. rev counter just into the red, speedo reading 156mph, vid coming soon! :D
  7. I've got 3 of the carbon fibre ultralite ones, and a lunar series rev counter. the quailty is second to none, that are absolutely fantastic. I won't even consider another gauge manufacturer, not even VDO. these are the best available without a doubt.
  8. Well, Hull, then Holland, then Germany. Going to the VW Forum Show, in Castrop-Rauxell. Went last year, and it was f*cking brill. even got to see the holy grail of corrado's, the UPS one (I had to do the Wayne's World style "we're not worthy"). as usual, will post up some hot corrado pics when I return, expect to see some of the best corrado's in the world. See ya!

    VR Decat

change into 6th then? oh, sorry....I forgot :-P
  10. just check the gearbox code, then look up the ratios and FD. Matt should still have that 3.94 you know.
  11. it's found on any mk2 or mk3 with air con. I've still got that spare one somewhere.
  12. well, I'm not arguing about BHP figures here, but I can tell you for a FACT that my car ran a SH!T load faster with my mates AmD chipped ECU than it does with the stock one. A notable, real difference that you can physically (not phycoligically) feel. I'd estimate easily 15bhp more than how it runs now. and I'm prepared to find out at a rolling road day soon. I'll do a run with each ECU and let you know. as for dubsprots rollers...don't forget my standard 8v put out 137.6 BHP there earlier this year.......
  13. I'd suspect the relay too. if it was the stalk you'd expect the pump to run too.
  14. just take it down the 1/4 mile. time is a constant.........(and don't getting all stephen hawkins on me by saying it's not)
  15. is the washer pump running all the time too?
  16. I think I've fixed it!! I was leaning over the back of the motor last night, looking for air leaks in the downpipe. and noticed that the rear knock sensor connector wasn't quite plugged in properly..........hence the intermittent fault on the sensor and the retarded timing. plugged it in properly, it runs fine now. changed the crank sensor too, and it starts up much better, and hasn't stalled once yet either. idles smoother, actually feel like it has some torque now, and top end power seems to be better too just need a decent chip now to make the most of the headwork and cams.
  17. the valve/switch thing is just an air con component, so yes, you can buy the vw connector for it. I'll update the schrick faq theread with the part numbers soon.
  18. My mates R32 was fitted with a milltek exhaust and remapped my AMD, it put out 307BHP on Well lanes rollers o the same day my vr6 did 207.
  19. both cam sprockets are the same, the cam trigger wheel is seperate, and about £9, and is keyed in position on the rear cam.
  20. boost gauge is FAR more useful. but A/F gauges are easy to fit, it just taps into the lambda probe loom.

    2.0 8v Vs 2.9 VR6

I'll also put money on it that 99% of you lot have never even seen a 2.0 8v corrado, let alone driven one. actually, tell al ie, you probably saw mine put out 137BHP at the relloing road day at dubsport........

    Sttering UJ

you actually have to remove the bolt, not just take the nut off.
