Not overly keen on them either tbh... look like cheep copies of VXR rims IMHO Silver does looks best though if you do decide to do it 8)

Deffo 24mm for all C's :D
-
My guess would also be that it's a bearing tbh... I'd assume it's not that good to drive it far with a noisy bearing - I've always changed mine as soon as possible when this has happened in the past

you're down this way this week aren't you? We can hop over to the phirm for it for a proper diagnosis... -
I went from Conti contact sport 2's to the GSD3's and there's a noticable difference in both wet and dry conditions... still find the F1's struggle for grip at times but maybe I expect to much!
-
Very much doubt it - the leon is the most exciting car I've had the pleasure of driving regularly and I know I'm going to miss it massively... have already run through all the 'maybe I could afford to keep it' options and there just isn't one! New company have offered to pay the difference between what it sells for and the outstanding finance though so that helps a great deal! They've insisted replacement has to be an estate so I'm planning to push for a Passat Sport tdi 170 in black - could always moonlight as a hearse in my spare time with it then  )
-
Mine was pearl grey and I must admit that I prefer met greys to alot of the colour options for any car... although my next car will be black  Best colour for the C is grey Worst has to be dragon green
-
Saying that - the irony of getting the new job is that they're insisting I take a company car which will mean having to sell the Leon :( I'm sure I did something real bad in my last life
-
I must admidt that the scooby drivers round here are really easy to wind up and not hard to beat either - good combination if you ask me
-
Cracking advice Wendy! :) I've been out of work for 7 weeks which has proved a financial challenge - especialy with mortgage, bills etc oh and I'm supposed to be saving for my wedding / honemoon next year! The folks have helped me out a bit to keep my head above water and I had to swallow my pride and get a bar job - which I must admit I really enjoyed last night and made good money on the tips! Things are gonna be tight around here for a while yet but there's light at the end of the tunneI - have excepted a good job offer and will be starting 3rd December :D
-
can honestly say I STILL would't own another one...

Seriously impressed with that 8) -
The tappety noise could be the timing chains... whats the mileage? I'm guessing your after the later all in one unit (as pictured below) They were a factory option and there is a plce you might still be able to get them from - although they were thought to be obsolete for a few years! The problem is I don't remember who had them - think it was vwparts on line or something... am sure someone will pop up and confirm soon enough anyways 8)
-
IIRC you have to cut off the 3 tabs on the later grill and secure it with cable ties... some of the last early C's had a slam pannel that had the holes for both the early and late grill options so it could be worth checking yours first. HTH

why did you put a plate on your bumper after havig it smoothed? :?

I expect the poor fecker will end up dead and get a darwin award in the next few years (with any luck)
-
Is that really what he meant when he suggested getting a 'toy' to play with while he was away? Sorry, I don't mean to be crude but I coudn't resist  Welcome to the forum - lovely car btw 8)
-
I thought about putting it in suppliers but for some reason I put it in exterior... door handles are on the out side though so I was kinda right   g60sc_stoney - you leave me no option I'm afraid - you'll have to run last on the day after I've kept you in hope that you'll be next on the rollers since we get there in the morning ;)
-
I think it would be a shame to alter it from factory spec as most that are left have been messed about with one way or another tbh... just put it up for £3K/£3.5K and hold out for the right buyer - someone will apreciate it I'm sure 8)
-
MR2 kit  Lovely car - would absolutely love one 8)
-
Sorry to hear about that :? Moving to Exterior as it's a handle/lock related question...
-
Looks really nice mate! Have you thought about losing the bump strips on the doors as well? I think it'd really help set off the smoothed bumpers 8)
-
Blimey - that has to be one of most ugly kits I've ever seen
-
Lovely car! That interior is going to look awesome once it's all in 8) Any plans for Euro headlights? The US ones are really odd looking and made even worse with out the plastic surrounds on them!
