    Newbie!

'lo and welcome - I'd of thought you'd have a bit more than 30bhp tbh ;)
  2. Between £3K and £4K for a half decent one IMO - prices seem to be at an all time low for the VR's and Valvers so you may find you get a bargain! Have certainly seen VR's with over 100K going for under £2K 8) have a gander in the classifieds section - bigpantsbaby has a mucho cheepo VR for sale although it is over 100K...
  3. That has to be fairly annoying! You can fit late fogs and indicators in the early bumper btw... have a gander at my members gallery (click on the link in my sig) for pics of before and after 8)
  4. Looks nice if somewhat seriously under-wheeled like you've already said! Have been looking for a suitable replacement car for the Mrs once the Golf has gone... time for a quick search for A3's on Autotrader me thinks 8) Are the interior plastics blue or is it the lighting/camera?
  5. wonder what the real reasoning behind these grills is?
  6. Looks pretty good but it is a bit on the baggy side... is there anything that can be done to tighten the leather up on the foam?
  7. Doubt they'll be able to pin DD on him but it certainly sounds like he'll get a criminal record anyway... he should be locked up with a large gay man for a few years so that he has no hope of holding a fart in for the rest of his life! Tw@s like that should have their identity printed in the local press... Best of luck with the insurance co's - if worst comes to the worst there still seems to be a load of good replacements about! Fingers crossed it won't come to that though :?
  8. You missed rubbing strips from the list but I expect you're losing them if they weren't already gone?
  9. It's not a biggie tbh.. I had an early bumper on the front of my old C (due to previous owner) and it looked fine - the sides don't sit quite far enough out (where the bumper meets the leading edge of the wing) but it's so close that the un-trained eye wouldn't be able to tell plus you can get round this by using washers to space the sides out further! Once thats done the only give away is the line in the detail around the top of the bumper is slightly different although with out pics it's hard to explain... I fitted the later fogs/indicators as Goldie suggests and after that you really couldn't tell 8)
  10. Looking good fella! Shame you hadn't done them before players ;)
  11. Really to sorry to hear/see this - glad you, wife and mate are fine... best of luck finding another C and I hope the to$$er that hit you gets banged up for a while!

    Mk4 Rears info

I'm assuming that the callipers on the back of my Leon are the same as mk4 items - what do you mean about the pads seizing? My rear pads have a tendency to squeal and I'm wonderig if that'd have anything to do with it?
  13. I think they look ace too... would love to have one 8)
  14. Wicked vid and really enjoyed hearing Age Of Panic again - Have you got the Sensor album by any chance? 8)
  15. It's also worth noting that some RR's will over/under read so your figures should only really be treated as a guide and act as a bench mark for future modifications...
  16. Looking sweet! Do you mind if I stick those pics in the stickers thread?
  17. yeah that looks really clean although I can't say I like the jap style pipe! Welcome to the forum... 8)
  18. WIsh I was in a position to have a car I could do this with! Next house will have to come with a garage 8)
  19. If it is the matrix the good news is you can bypass it with some copper tube as a make shift solution but you'll obviously be with out heating until you replace it...
  20. Average height................................ for a woman ;) Yeah good episode - missed the begining and only got to see Stig rag it round the test track though - will have to download the bit I missed...
  21. I think the Leon looks like a modern, grown up version of the C too so you're deffo wrong  Hows the LC going anyways dude? (love the firtst pic of it on your drive btw 8) )
  22. 2800 ;) Congrats on the purchase fella... look forward to seeing some pics 8)
  23. Yeah the lupo ones are very good! A few people have had complaints about blade life but mine were great for 2 years or so! Modernised the front end a treat too and the slimmer profile takes the blades out of view at the bottom of the screen 8)
