  1. 8) now just a matter of working out how to get the clocks out... it's funny you should refer to the mk1 as it made me think - I owned my mk1 for nearly 7 years of its 21, I've owned the corrado for 8 months of its nigh on 10 year stint, in this time I've had more problems with the corrado than I ever had with the Golf- I WANT MY MK1 BACK  Nah, not really, very happy with C ownership just a shame that they're so problematic  So any step-by-step instructions on removing the clocks would be great if anyone can make it sound simple :)
  2. OK, so I got my exhaust welded this morning and got rid of the "sounding too much like a rally car" problem only to take her to the pub tonight and discover that my rev counter no longer lights up... How do I change the bulb and is there any risk of losing the mileage by disconecting the instuments? Are there any easy but cool mods I can do while I have this out for sorting?
  3. hmmmmmm... less of the teasin damn you!!! How's it coming on buddy?

    Door Panels

oops. my bad... I was talking about the inside handle on my C passenger door... thats the slack bit, out side is fine but inside you have to pull the slack handle and push the door quite hard to get out - quite funny when my feable female friends are trying to get out... but it is a problem that do I need to fix! so that will be door panel removal for me then... has anyone had this problem with slack inners :?:
  7. I would have thought that as it's marked on their paperwork it'd be your word against their evidence... which we all know they changed afterwards, b**tards  was reading an article in Auto Express (28 jan spevial) about smart (small and medium repair techniques) they treat anything from fag burns to small dents and scratches maybe these guys might be able to offer some help... I've never used them myself but the article makes them look like a good low cost solution - it's just a shame that you should have to pay :( Here's contact details for a couple on the list in the mag A1 Dents Ltd: dent removal (London based) 020 8845 0502 or 07989 746895 http://www.ukdents.com Ashford international: All repairs 01784 888610 http://www.itelligentrepairs.com Hope this helps Phil

Exactly the same slack handle problems in my C  was thinking that it might just need the rod from the mech to the handle bending to take up the slack? let me know how you get on and what is causing the problems, would be handy to have some inside info before I start on this... you'd have thought the drivers would go first as it prob gets used more than the passenger one? Mine's a '94 L, I wonder how many other people have had this problem... :?: Cheers Phil
  9. like 'em, kinda thing I want for mine but prob as 16's... whats the cost like?
  10. 2 very nice cars... is the C perl gray?
  11. apart from having to slightly persuade the orange bulbs in to the holders I can't see why they didn't just design em to use the originals  not important though.. am still well chuffed and kinda like that they have "special edition" written on the lens'
  12. Yeah I know  I don't think the flash on the camera helps as they don't look that orange to the eye... should have that one sorted in the week. Did anyone use the supplied bulb holders? I was able to use the original holders and a bit of tape to hold em in place as I didn'y really want to cut the loom 8)

Yup.. only on the drivers door - just press and hold button for a bit longer than a tap and it keeps going up - all the way to the top if your c is riddled with as many problems as mine

when I use the 'auto up' for my drivers window it only goes about 75% and then stops... also does this when I arm the alarm. It seems the motor doesn't think it's fully open - Is there a way of re-setting the mechanism or do I need new parts? BTW, this has only happened since the battery was disconected for a couple of days... Thanks for any help :)
  23. Still waiting for mine :( should have been here on monday - waited most of the day and went out for half an hour, sure enough they came while I was out  left a card to say they'd deliver the next day - didn't and every time I ring the depot no-one answers the phone - bunch of monkeys! Spoke to customer services tonight and they promise to deliver Saturday morning YAY - can't wait!
