BMW 1-Series Coupe - What does everyone think ?
Phil K replied to BigTartanJudge's topic in General Car Chat
Few of the guys at work have ordered them and they don't look bad so long as you don't get the metallic red/orange one! Black, white or grey would be nice with the red leather! The 123d isn't a slouch either with over 200hp... looks great on those wheels too 8) -
doesn't look quite right IMO either but I know I'd be desperate to put my own stamp on it too if I was lucky enough to own it... those pipes would look OK if they were in a neat cut out on the bumper and the lower edge lined up with the rest of it but like that just makes me think of the Vectra which also sported a similar design :?

Which colour option for refurb of WORK split-rims ?
Phil K replied to BigTartanJudge's topic in Exterior
I'd leave it to the buyer as everyone has their own idea of what work with their car best... if you really want to do some work on them so you can make a profit then I guess the best thing you can do is restore them to how they would have looked when new... -

Look much better than I thought they would! Very cool 8) -
Congrats matey! Had a 2.016V myself but the need for big bhp took over and I sold it for the LCR! Was talking to a VR owner this morning though and realised that I still have a hankering to come back to the fold but next time it will be with 6 cylinders! Hope the new valver meets your expectations and I'm sure it will be more than you ever dreamed of! I think the C is one of the best cars you can put your own modification stamp on with so many after market parts available and various styling options... and it will always look better than your run of the mill mk2 golf (although I still plan to have another one of those too  ) What camper have you got? Would love to see some pics! This is the closest I have got to having one myself - it's such a cool model but I'd much rather have the real thing 8)

People have fitted Porsche mirrors in the past but they're not cheep and you will need to modify the mounts... the mx5 ones are similar in shape and cost a lot less so worth considering as an alternative! welcome to the forum btw :D

Biggerbigben - Golf sold.. another new project!
Phil K replied to biggerbigben's topic in Members Gallery
Nice one matey! You'll have to take me out for a spin in it! I may actually have new discs on the front of the Leon by then as well! (how many months have I been saying that it needed them? ) -
New interior looks nice! I have a feeling the headlight switch is constantly illuminated (so you can find it in the dark) so the heat from the lamp inside makes the surface warm - maybe the lamp had failed on your old one! Could be talking rubbish but thats my best guess for ya!

My Pearl Ghey 16v Gone :( - Introducing "Annie"
Phil K replied to vwdeviant's topic in Members Gallery
name him damn it... I would if I was £50 down and had made a legit deal  dunno why I'm arsed tbh as I won't be on here for just over 3 weeks but all the same, if this guys not true to his word then he needs bringing to the public eye for the sake of everyone else that may get fcucked over in the same way! Knowing that he's also a user of CF maybe he'd like to step in about now and fight his corner!?! -

Com'on name and shame - whats his username? :bad-words: -
HID's... Never had them on the C but have them retro fitted on the LCR and they're feckin good! Easy to install and super bright at night! Have a look on ebay - you can get kits from £40 odd quid now a days - in fact mine only cost me £42 from hong kong and have been great for the last 6 months! Worth getting your headlights re-alligned after fitting though so you don't dazzle anyone...
-
Still one of my favorite C's now its on the RC's - only looked 'OK' before ;) Kinda makes me feel tempted to come back to the fold in a year or so...

Link doesn't seem to be working fella ;)

It won't hang about long at that price! Make you realise how over priced a lot of the dub scene can get though  That has to be the nicest Rallye I've seen - not one thing I'd change on it either!
-
Lovely car... carp rims - looked perfect the way it was before IMO
-
Neither of our current cars carry a VW badge but both are from the VAG stable 8)
-
Nice! Love it! Probably one of the very few Fords I'd consider driving 8)
-
HAve been really chuffed with my LCR, OK not as individual as my old C and deffo doesn't turn as many heads but for out of the box speed and thrills I rate it highly! 8) If you're ever down south I'd be more than happy to let you have a spin in mine!

You're running adaptors though aren't you? If so I'm guessing they will be sitting further out in the arches than on a VR...

Wife hits garage wall with Corrado! (FIXED NOW!)
Phil K replied to MonkeyVR6's topic in General Car Chat
Just keep a photographic record of the repairs and pass that onto the next owner explaining the situation - I'm sure this wouldn't deter a potential buyer and in many ways is better than just being handed a receipt for said repair work! I assume the wife owes you a month of blow jobs for the sake of her marriage now?
