    Spare headlamps

I haven't got ETKA so I can't say for sure about different models or years, but the headlamps in my '90 16V and '95 VR6 have the same part numbers

    Stickers.......

jim, offer a fitting service, earn lots of money, buy a c
  6. My cut on the 2 vs 4 whell alignment question is this. The rears can be adjusted so that they run 'in line' (ie whatever the angular displacement should be) with each other; the front wheels are adjusted for camber/caster/toe with each other; the front and rear wheels have to be 'in line' with each other (you don't want one set crabbing in relation to the others)
  7. Yes, I thought you were buying me breakfast :) Seem to several threads on this.....

  11. Hi Simon, Welcome to the forum. No idea the answer to your question, this just a hello. Saw your motor up at Coombe but was on wander mode and didn't spot you. Must pop in soon and see how you're getting on

    Awesome GTI

Not sure about discount for forum members but support what Chris (endor71) says, they are genuine guys and I think just owning a vw is what its all about. they spent ages working on a wrong readout on the outside temp gauge for me once (turned out vag had sold me the wrong sensor! we all learned something that day) and charged me minimal amount despite the time it took.

    VWCCGB EGM???

Well just to say I shall be there assuming I haven't managed to kill myself before then
  14. Rams, oops you asked about packaging & part numbers. Packaging is pretty standard, I have the part numbers at home - will post tomorrow. As my pm said my server is about to go off.
  15. Jim, just havin a larf m8 - thought I wasn't far off looking like that; when I work out how to do avatars, pics (of my cars even) I'll probably do something about it Ant, yeah its been ages, brekkie sounds good I'm up for that. how's the yellowperil, last I saw it was a bit poorly?
  16. lenny ain't kidding, I had to get mine done on the 16v 2-3 yrs back and they are well costly from vag - but at mot time what can you do
  17. OK guys I may be getting paranoid in my dotage but interested to know whether anyone else has the same concerns as me. Stay with me here..I got a set for the VR at Inters but found that the screw in ends for the callipers were fitted with concave ends. Now I didn't like this because the bottom of the hole in the calliper is also concave - so for a good engineering fit the brake line should have a convex end - right? Well , I rang Goodridge and they agreed with me. Sent me a new set with the right ends on. Fitted them and am very pleased - don't know if it's just in my mind but they just feel stronger if you know what I mean. So I recently ordered a set for the 16v which arrived today. And the same thing with the calliper ends :( :? They are in the post back to Goodridge tomorrow. Their man said he hadn't had any other C owner coming back to him with this problem. So my questions are: Anyone else noticed the same as me? Anyone else complained? And for the qualified motor engineers out there - is it actually a problem?(the bloke at Goodridge said they'd squish down but that is anathema to my RAF engineering training and experience) Or am I just an old fart? (pse keep replies in context)
  18. I would definitely recommend this stuff. Picked up a shield kit at inters and just gave the vr the treatment. Took me all of sunday but she do look good.
