I just took out 1 of the blanks and it fits perfect in there. Then i filed a slit in my co pot,ran the wires down the slit and then insulation taped it round. Difference is, i have my co pot pushed in a samco dumpvalve outlet! Il go and take pics now

Just fitted a charge air temp gauge. Checked outside temp and it was approx 20deg,then whilst driving at approx 40mph i was seeing approx 23degrees? Guess that means the front mount intercooler is working well? Did notice sat at a junction,it did creep up to 27degrees,but as soon as i started moving it just drops right down to 23ish. I tried flooring it aswell and it stays about the same! What do you reckon?

Just curious really, would love to do 16v/g60 but cant be arsed to take engine out again and try and build a low compression 16v block. Is it possible to just whack a 20v or 16v head on? I can get a log manifold made if needed. Also whats the score with the beetle crossflow head? If thats not an easy option, can i fit a 20v engine but fit all the g60 anciliries to it? Use the charger and digi 1?

Lambda sensor tests ok, could it still be the problem?
flusted replied to Andy T's topic in Engine Bay
I fitted new lambda and mine still does similar thing -
Also the g60 intercooler pipes have like right angles in them which must cause major restrictions
-
I bought 1 anyway and it still hasnt cured my problem :drinking:

yeah thats what i thought. as wiki states 2000 on mfa with 68mm pulley should be right, i cant make anymore than 1890 so presumed i have a small leak. Could i add a tube to the outlet near charger and run the gauge from there to give me an idea how much the charger is pushing?
-
my boost gauge came with a t piece and the tube the gauge goes on has a small brass restrictor in it? Was guna ditch that?
-
test the fuel pressure? do you have a lift pump? have you checked that?
-
it will run fine on 95 but will just lose a bit of power, run on whatever you can get at your petrol station. Theres only 1 garage in the Isle of Wight that sell super unleaded so i rarely put it in mine

check the heaters are hot, mine used to blow hot and cold when i had an airlock. Ended up undoing different pipes when it was hot (be carefull) and bleeding off the air
