  1. water pump on its way out? or belt rubbing on covers
  2. The wire you have broke is prob the fan run-on which only works when ignition is off so its not that important. If you need a hand i can pop ova 1 eve
  3. ok checked the purple wire and it reads .36volts all the time,so guess theres a prob? got a good earth and good live on heater wire though HELP GAV
  4. yeah but methanol sprayed on the outside of an alloy intercooler isnt so good
  5. demon tweeks i think
  6. lol Just got a pressure switch from ebay, just need to make the frame for nozzles now. Thinking of using a fuel lift pump as they will kick out some serious pressure giving me a major mist
  7. Thanks gav! When i get in it first thing in the morning, i can drive off and about 30secs away i just starts bogging really bad,but if i keep reving it hard and dipping the clutch,it clears, then its fine for the rest of journey. Is there any plugs on the engine loom i might of got wrong that power the lambda? Theres a relay on the engine loom, could that be anything to do with it? When you say "close wot switch" do you mean press the switch in on tickover? would really appreciate it if you can keep an eye on this thread Gav as its doin my head in now.
  8. nope problems still there. its more thn likely to be the lambda on yours
  9. I used a tsr 1 on my 16v, was fine for 2years and made it quite a bit quicker. was till fine when i removed to fit the g60. With a 4 branch and differe.nt inlet cam, my 1.8 made 163bhp so its got to help
  10. whipped out plugs and they look fine? doesnt look like running rich. Im reckoning its running lean as it pops up through the inlet when its playing up?
  11. You can buy adjustable boost pressure switches from ebay.com for about $26 You just cut a vacuum pipe, and these fit inline. Guna get 1 and set to about 7psi i reckon
  12. Guna get my mate to fab up a frame to go round the outside of intercooler with mounts for the jets on each corner.
  13. Ok so ive started to persue this. just bought a replacement spray nozzle from my local hurst (dont think you have them on mainland) Its for those weed killer sprayers that you pump up the pressure, then spray. Cost me £3.60 and made by hozelock. I quickly plumbed up to washer motor to give it a wirl and its perfect! Its also adjustable!!!! Just need to buy another 3 to make sure i get good coverage!
  14. I dont, but i ported my tb and took a bit of metal off around the seat of the butterfly by accident. il abandon that idea then
  15. I have the boost return deleted on my g60. Was wondering, could i fit a dumpvalve on the bottom of throttlebody boost return? Reason i ask,is i think i may be leaking boost out the butterfly.

  17. Ok well still havent checked pressure,BUT When i connected engine loom up to fusebox i think i put a big negative wire in the wrong place on fusebox and heard a pop. Checked all fuses and nothing blown but then found id put the negative on a positive (dam im thick) Guessing ive fried the ecu??? sounds likely although car still runs and drives fine after warmed up although down on power
  18. Could the ecu be in limp mode? Doesnt it dump 25% extra fuel when in limp mode?
  19. nah, being stuck on the isle of wight means its costs loads to go anywhere
  20. just cut the belt to it. I drove round with no pas for about a week and its seriously hard work
  21. Ive got em in mine but still got everything working. Got a doc that explains how to do conversion
  22. expansion tank from allard motorsport. got from ebay years ago. fmic has cost me about £100 all in including buying it,and the samco's etc Did take ages trying to make the right bends out of limited 1s i had from the zorst.
  23. Ok well its finally plumbed in and working!! My mate fabb'd some new pipes on it in 2.5",then i found a rs turd exhaust at my mates which was also 2.5" I cut the exhaust up so i had a choice of right angles etc and set about making it fit with an assortment of samco and standard boost pipes. I fitted an rsr outlet while i was there and used a samco right angle the reduces from the rsr which is 3" down to 2.5" to match the other pipe work Here it is I used a rs cosworth turbo outlet samco with dumpvalve take-off for the tb pipe and stuck the co pot in where the dumpvalve would go! Really pulls harder now and power comes in earlier, lurvin it!!!!!
