  4. i took charger apart today.Am wondering if i port the exhaust side to r1 spec and put back together,whether darren would do the rest cheap and service it?

Now i know darren is recognized as the charger god,but im wondering to save some cash,is it possible to take a charger apart and port it,then put it back together and send it off to be serviced? Is it just a case of seperating the casing? If i have to disturb any seals etc to get apart then i wouldnt do it. Has anyone got any pics of the port work done on the charger? As you may of guessed,im fully confindent to port it,but not to take it apart :oops:
  11. same as a g60 injector rail,that only has 1 plug for all four injectors.
  12. wishbones are £40 each new, i went secondhand on these bits. The wiki says you can use mk4 discs with washers aslong as you have 5 stud hubs to start with.
  13. stealth used 4 vr6 injectors on there 16v turbo kit. This will envolve getting the injectors mounted into the lower half of intake manifold though
  14. the whole point is you have to use the wishbones that match the hub as the bottom ball joints are different and the mk4 discs are the wrong offset so the caliper wont line up! Ive got mk4 288 discs to go on mine and think you can get away with it on the 5 stud hub using 6mm spacers on the caliper.
  15. Im doing this at the moment. Ive changed wishbones,and roll bar,then using vr6 hubs and hopefully mk4 calipers discs and carriers. Bets bet is to press out the 4stud flange from existing hub,then press in the 5 stud flange and re-drill your 256mm 4 stud discs to 5stud. You will need 5 stud cv joints no matter what. Otherwise you have to go full widetrack like im doing which means wishbones,roll bar,hubs and i think track rod arms?
