Loss of power with BMC / CDA .

    Evening chaps .
I have recently fitted a BMC , I had a KnN fitted before. To me it seems like Iíve lost excelerating power. Itís like the opposite of a placebo effect. Iím sure itís lacking in power . I canít think of any reason at all why ?.
Any help or info would be appreciated.
    Kind regards
    Rob

92 VR6 . DBP. She will never be a show car ..... But will be up there with the best of em .

The bmw seems invincible in isolation . But along side the corrado - a modern classic , we think- it has its work cut out . Autocar 1992.

Strange, as these are supposed to be better than the K and N arenít they!? I had a K and N cone filter fitted to my VR and it wasnít very good at all, like you say, loss of power. Have you got all the connections, jubilee clips and the like, fitted securely?

Did it happen in the last two days? If so, it's entirely down to 30 degree air.

A Corrado is for life, not just for the MOT.

The engine isn't though. It will always make less power in hotter air.

No idea bud , the KnN was fine in the heat and there are supposed to be prone to heat soak .

I think if it was me, Iíd put the standard air box back on or even the KnN and see if thereís a difference. At least then you can rule out the CDA.
