    Corrado VR6 Storm FOR SALE

Corrado VR6 Storm - Mystic Blue

The time has come to sell my Corrado VR6 Storm. Owned since 2006 the time has come to get a newer car with 5 doors and grow older.

VW released the ‘Storm’ special editions as a limited run at the end of production in 1995 they were available in Mystic Blue and Classic Green, and 250 of each colour were made.

VW Corrado vr6 storm in mystic blue with black leather heated seats fully working.
1995 'N' registration with Private plate E57 ORM the perfect plate for a corrado storm which will come with the car.
    Manual
    Mystic blue
190,000 miles approx driven daily so will increase slightly (Note rebuild done at approximately 161k miles info below)
First service after rebuild done at stealth subsequent services done by myself using synta silver new filter every year and plugs every other year.
    Mot till Nov 2019

Car has been driven daily since I bought it so anything that has needed doing has been done to keep it on the road.

    Details on the car

    Engine/Gearbox

Full engine rebuild by stealth racing large receipt to prove in May 2013
Chains done by D&G autotech using genuine parts and stronger MK4 parts (receipt to prove) in 2010
263 cams fitted with Dave Dewson remap in 2010
Vibra-technics engine mounts front rear and gearbox fast road in 2010
    BMC Carbon Induction kit
Jetex cat back exhaust in 2010
    Gearbox stripped and rebuilt 2010
Wavetrac limited slip differential fitted in 2010
Slim line fans fitted – These make a massive difference with regard to cooling.
CV joints and track road ends replaced in 2010
    Rear axle bushes replaced 2013
    Alternator replaced in 2013
    MAF replaced 2014
New VW fuel pump in 2013
New VW starter motor in 2012

    Interior

Black leather in good condition slight rip on drivers side, few cracking areas in the leather and stain on rear passenger seat.
Original Re-leathered steering wheel with the red stitching.
OEM gauges volt and oil pressure fitted (look amazing) very rare to find a set these days
    Heater backlight modification done
Car will come with both winter rubber mats and summer carpet mats for interior.
    Heater matrix replaced in 2013
16” spare wheel from late golf vr6 so spare goes over bigger front brakes.
Old school Clifford virtual key immobiliser installed led bulb is gone but still works.

    Audio system

Alpine head unit 117Ri with USB connector in bottom shelf
Original Audioscape front door pods – These are very rare installed with rainbow speakers and tweeters in dash.

    Exterior

Bodywork this is where the car is let down and needs someone to take on the full respray required. Various dinks and small dents around the car, rust scab on drivers door and passenger door, small area of lacquer peel on bonnet, chips on rear bumper and a year or so back whilst parked someone kindly side swiped the car on the nearside rear arch flattening the flared arch ever so slightly. Luckily it must have been a slow speed impact otherwise it would have been far worse .

Underneath was repaired with various holes and rust fixed then waxoyled in 2015 since then the rear sills had corroded and were noticed during MOT so these have been repaired and needs respray in that area
VW Lupo aero wipers and arms fitted
Replacement wiper motor arms and motor fitted in 2014
Front wings replaced and resprayed in original colour but not the best colour match and had to be done quick as the previous wings had rusted through.
Brand new, when fitted in 2015 front fog light and indicators.
    Headlights had new glass too.
Kurzy (from the forum) up rated headlight loom installed
Spoonfed tuning front wiper plinth fitted.
Spoonfed tuning carbon fiber rear spoiler (Standard mystic blue one will come with the car)
Trimsport carbon fiber rear number plate light trim
Solitude alloys refurbished in 2013 but some small scuffs and little flaking.
Rear number plate plinth broken in places.
Spoiler motor replaced and is now fully works as it should up down on the button and rises at 57 mph.
    DDI blue tinted wing mirrors
    New windscreen fitted in 2013

    Wheels/Suspension /brakes

Upgraded front brakes to 288mm refurbished by Biggred and upgraded lines.
    Mk4 golf rear brake calipers.
    KW V1 coilover suspension fitted
New Rear discs/pads/abs rings and bearings in 2017
Solid Brakes lines fully replaced everyone brand new copper when replaced in 2013
ABS rear brake load compensator replaced 2013
    Rear axle bushes replaced 2013

    So just to summarise :-

    Pros

E57 ORM numberplate comes with car
Fully rebuilt engine with only 29k since rebuild
    KW Coilovers
    Genuine Volt and pressure gauges
    Spoonfed tuning upgrades
    Lots of new parts fitted
Huge folder full of receipts will come with car
Drives well and still puts a smile on your face.

    Cons

Paintwork needs attention as detailed above
    Front wing needs realigning
Headlining coming loose near sunvisors not too bad
Sunroof has been unplugged as it starting to slow on closing so didn’t want to risk anything else happening.
Abs light stays on but on rare occasions when driven for a while goes on and off on ignition like it should. Will come with Spare ABS pump in case that is the fault.
Slight Clicking/Ticking noise coming from underneath which can only be heard in the cabin between 20-50mph had it checked by awesome gti and they said it was some seals on gearbox they were replaced but still the noise is there. Got their gearbox guy to come and have a look and he said it’s not the gearbox. So with no explainable answer I took the car and have continued to drive it with the noise.

Price im looking for is £4000 ono willing to take serious offers on it though.

Contact me Jon on 07854051472 either by text or phoning or if you want PM me on here.

Good luck with the sale Jon .

92 VR6 . DBP. She will never be a show car ..... But will be up there with the best of em .

The bmw seems invincible in isolation . But along side the corrado - a modern classic , we think- it has its work cut out . Autocar 1992.
