They were sold a direct replacements to me without the need for any adapters, they even have wiring adapters in the box.

I'm just waiting on some dynamat to line the doors before fitting.
Nice one P Ill have a look at the speaker part numbers you have listed.

Talking of door cards I've got some door membranes sheet and double sided butyl tape sitting next to me, basically had a Birmingham Bin bag and decorators tape in the door card lol ! I think the front speakers are worth fitting because they are 2 way and have in built tweeters.

Haha they are pish. It’ll make a big difference swapping them out. More effect than putting an England football team against the Dutch
    4th one surely the last

They felt like a Moths wing .

Also ordered some original door card screws and door pull screws from Seat Hortons, had a couple missing from the door and speaker door cards . Free delivery.

Was looking at the door card membrane, going to be a crap job removing the old waterproof tape.

Changed out the rear stock speakers today for the Alpines. Took me under 20 minutes to take out the rear speaker/parcel shelf housing and fit the new speakers in. The speakers fit in fine without modding the speaker trim housing, the nuts and stock rubbers are a little large but pinched on the speaker fine at an angle, just don't over tight. I can vouch this is the best £40 I have spent on my car yet for speakers and adaptors, what a difference no clatter tat tat anymore!!

    VR^ South,

You are correct the front dash speakers are not a direct fit, the corner tabs of the speaker will have to be modified to fit into the speaker grill.

If you have them I would def swap them out , unplug speaker, three bolts underneath each trim, philips screw on seat belt lower trim , remove trim and undo 2 philips screws, speaker will now drop out, undo four bolts holding grill on to speaker, bingo.

Just fitted the door card speakers and the Alpine are a direct fit with no modding what so ever, gave the the wing mirror contacts a nice spray with the old wd40 electric contact cleaner spray and now that is working a treat as well, happy days. Put a small copper pipe on the door locking pin and that directed the door card nicely back in to position.
