    Center hub question?

Sorry guys for asking another wheel question...
In my quest to find a replacement for the schmidt I tumbled across a set of JDM BBS wheels that looks very similar to the LM's but in 16". LM's have always been my all time favorite but I don't want to run 17".

Anyways to come back to the subject the wheels have a center bore of 56mm and the Corrado has 57.1mm, does that mean they wouldn't fit? I'm thinking they won't but would like to confirm with the pros

    Thanks again cheers

No they won't. If they were larger you could get spigots to fill the difference, but uour only option would be to get them bored out to 57.1

    Okay, thanks again Sean!
That's too bad, they were so nice. I'm not having a good luck with wheels it looks like!

Most machining companies would be able to do it. No real idea on how much it would cost though....

It’s been done several times carefully with a drill and bobbin sander. Subaru usually have a higher offset so need spacers to clear the struts

Yes they are Subaru's! I did noticed the offset at 48et but like you said with spacers it would have been fine. The center bore though, I'm not sure I want to play with that... That's too bad, they are fantastic and light. It's these ones I was thinking about, I would have done a silver powder coat:

Depends how much you want to spend but for many the most sort after alloy is the BBS RS 5 stud. Think they go for between 2k-3k though ! There are replicas knocking about though.

Thanks Keyo for the suggestion. I personally like the BBS RX but they are rare to find as well. Still in the used market though. Too bad that wheel sizes changed so much over the years, looking for new ones they're all in the 18/19/20 sizes now... The hunt continues I guess!

I have a set of BBS RX2 they are a great alloy and direct fir. I also have BBS RS 771 or known as the anniversary split rim alloy these are easy to get hold of and priced in the £300 mark in the UK. Basically they are a split version of the BBS RX and came on Mk3 and MK4 golf anniversary cars. Both 16 and 6,5 J or 7J 5 stud direct fit.

You can see the RS771 on my car black magic

I looked into having custom spacers made but due to the length of the boss on the rear disks they would have to be 25mm plus otherwise the centring boss on the spacer is prone to shearing off due to lack of material on the spacer. Redborbet / redborbon a user on here has opened up a few sets of Subaru fit wheels and they’ve looked great in the pics he’s posted in his build thread.
