    The wheel data thread

I thought I'd make a thread about wheel data to try and help people make an informed decision when choosing wheels.

Hopefully the list will expand over time, so please add to the list if you know of any wheel weights and other data etc.

The weights shown are actual weights on scales, which I'd prefer when updating the list tbh as some of the wheel weight data on the net is a bit optimistic in some cases!

    Wheel weights:

    15s
    VR6 Speedline - 6.5J x 15 - ET43 - 7.5Kg - 288m VAG clearance
    VR6 Solitude - 6.5J x 15 - ET43 - 8.3Kg - 288m VAG clearance
    Compomotive MO5 1571 - 7J x 15 - ET25 - 7.8kg - 305mm AP and 312mm VAG clearance
    Compomotive CXR 1571 - 7J x 15 - ET25 - <7kg - 305mm AP and 312mm VAG clearance

    16s
    BBS RX - 7J x 16 - ET38 - 8.8 Kg - 312mm VAG clearance
    Compomotive MO6 1672 - 7J x 16 - ET25 - 8.8Kg - Good 4 pot clearance

    17s
    Team Dynamics Pro Race 1 - 7J x 17 - ET35 - 7.7Kg - Good 4 pot clearance
    Team Dynamics Pro Race 1.2 - 7J x 17 - ET35 - 8.1Kg - Some 4 pots may need spacers
    Compomotive MO6 1771 - 7J x 17 - ET35 - 9.8Kg - Good 4 pot clearance
    VW Santa Monica - 7J x 17 - ET38 - 7.8Kg
    BBS RKII - 7.5J x 17 - ET35 - 9.5kg (approx)
    Audi (Ronal?) TT Comps - 7.5J x 17 - ET32 - 10.5Kg - Good 4 pot clearance
    Oettinger RE - 8J x 17 - ET35 - 10.5Kg - Good 4 pot clearance
    Rota G Force - 8J x 17 - ET35 - 9.2Kg - Tonnes of 4 pot clearance

    Compomotive TH2 1780 - 8J x 17 - ET35 - 9.8Kg - Good 4 pot clearance
    OZ Ultraleggera - 8J x 17 - ET35 - 7.74Kg

    Re: The wheel data thread

just picked up some oe santa monica's 7j x 17" et38, and thought these feel lighter than the RC's, guess what they are lighter coming in at 7.8kg.

and the 9j x 16 gottis with a 215/40/16 tyre weighs a mighty 19.5kg plus to make them look right on the car the bloody sump sits waaaay to close to the tarmac so guess what may be for sale very soon...........

Don't have weights but Sebrings with Rainsport IIs are noticeably heavier than G60 BBS's with Potenzas on.
