    heater matrix

    hi everyblody ere anyone know how to change a heater matrix on a c,is it dash out job :cry:

    First check with your dealer as you may get it done free under warrenty!! cos some where recalled !!

    Also heard of someone doing it without taking dash off!!

    Yep its a dash out job, i had mine replaced cos i had a pssenger footwell of water.
    when the garage did it they didn't think it was the matrix but replaced it cos i had given them it to do but said it looked like the seal to the bulkhead was causing it as this had perrished

    Did my 1991 G60 without taking the dash out. There is a metal bracket thats in the way but if you look under the dash it bolts in. Not sure about the later dash type but managed it on mine.

    When I had my dash apart today repairing the heater cables, it looked like you could change the matrix without taking the entire dash out. There's a lot of cables and brackets behind there......would NOT fancy doing that job.

    i remember doing one on my old golf without taking the dash out...had to be like an acrobat to get at it
    1993 corrado vr6,in flash red,spax coilovers, 17" ats dtm mesh alloys,magnex stainlessteel cat back exhaust,black electric recaro leather seats,DDI reverse glow dials,312mm audi tt brake set up..now got a GSXR750(2001)
