mbradbrook 0 Posted November 26, 2005 Morning all, Just been reading the latest Sprinter magazine and read an article by Ian Howe about his VR6. He's managed to source the proper aircon switches that sit above the cigarette lighter. I have the Diavia aircon switches that are positioned next to the headlight switch. dinkus 10 Posted November 26, 2005 There are acutally 2 types of original AC switches - there are the 2 that go down by the cigarette lighter and the other type that look like the foglight buttons. Because all RHD AC was a dealer-fit option, they just used whichever set of switches they felt like and mounted them wherever they could. Personally, I prefer the foglight style switches, but it's all a matter of personal preference/whether you can get your hands on other types of button. ilhowe 0 Posted May 25, 2006 Apologies for the slow response (first time I've spotted the post), but if it's of any help the part numbers for the aircon switch down by the cigarette lighter, and the trim panel with the appropriate holes for it to fit in are as follows: Switch - 535959543 Panel - 535863284B01C This is quoted from an ancient Sprinter article (Summer 1998), so I have no idea whether the parts are still available.
