MARLBORO_LITE 0 Posted March 11, 2006 I found a relay numbered 80 in the glovebox, all a bit suspicious I now feel as, on inspecting the fusebox, I can't seem to find a replacement relay 80 in its place. Would anyone know what this does and where it should go? The car is off the road undergoing resto, it drives fine but only up and down my drive at the moment. These 'drive' tests are not pointing to any particular difficulties or issues. Am tempted to leave sleaping dogs lie..... Grateful for any advice please. RW1 0 Posted March 11, 2006 Which Corrado model do you have and what's the 9 digit and possible end suffix letter on the relay? .
MARLBORO_LITE 0 Posted March 12, 2006 She's a 2.0 16v (92 model). The 9 digit code is 191 906 383. Another face of the relay carries further numbering: 89 9502 5 (circled) SHO 89 (circled) 12v/40A On another face, it carries what appears to be a circuit diagram, indicating some connectivity between 30, 85, 86 & 87 which correlates with the relay pins themselves. This is all the information I can lift from the original relay. Does this help? Thanks for responding.
RW1 0 Posted March 12, 2006 It's a fuel pump relay from early - mid 80's systems. Your fuel pump relay is in the bottom row, nearest the door pillar (bottom right). It's part number is 191 906 383C. .
MARLBORO_LITE 0 Posted March 13, 2006 Thank you very much. Would appear to be nothing to worry about then. Cheers
