Did it get a fuel filter? What model do you have? G60,VR6 8v,16v?

Strangely enough I had this happen a while back (and there are a few people on here who have had similar symptoms). The usual suspects are, dodgy ECU relay, lose connection to the ECU, hall sender, and dizzy. With mine I replaced the ECU relay and (touch wood) it has not re-occured since. Although I must admit that at the same time I did fix a broken wire to my ISV, so I couldn't rule that out either. Sorry to not be more specific, but always a problem with these 'intermittent' faults.

Welcome to the Forum.

Intermittment electrical probles are my worst nightmare - looking at my 17 year old wiring is frightening sometimes.

Only advice I can offer is to think it through methodically, check the easy to reach joints, connections first and if / when you need to start replacing items start with the smaller / cheaper bits first.

Best of luck

Had a little problem with my mums 1.8 valver last year. Missing sometimes, others it was fine. kangaroo petrol, but at any speed. Turned out to be the fuel pump in the tank, the other one under the car was fine.

Hope this helps
