swiftkid 1 Posted April 29, 2009 My sincere apologies to Mr VR6 if this is wrong place to ask, im sure you will be telling me off if it is :( Im rebuilding a VR6 engine (stupidly i have decided to leave the 24v until next year) and am trying to get hold of some piston rings, i've had a search over the forum and apparently you can get them for £120 but i have no idea where to get them from. rang around a few places near me and i got quoted £38 a piston... ouch!!! i am after 81.5mm piston rings and i will need a full set, anyone know of places i can get them from and also if people are feeling generous, where i can get good price rebuild parts. VR6 0 Posted April 29, 2009 Moving to the Suppliers forum :lol: 'Can I fit piston rings from a Mk4 Polo' is a techie question and goes in the Engine forum in the technical section. 'Where can I buy piston rings' is just a question about shopping basically :grin: so it's a non-techie discussion about a supplier and their costs etc. Best of luck with the hunt!
