Reggit 0 Posted February 28, 2010 One of my front seats no longer tilts to give access to the rear. When I've looked, the cable which operates the lock on the side furthest from the lever has gone slack - although it doesn't appear broken as it still moves to some degree. Is there any way of adjusting/repairing this without pulling the seat apart?
the delta force 0 Posted March 7, 2010 I have the same problem with the drivers seat in my VR. I was told that it would need to be taken apart but have no idea how to. mikkijayne 0 Posted March 9, 2010 There are a pair of cables attached to the handle - one for each side. Once cable goes straight down, but the other one goes across the back of the seat and through a plastic loop to get down to the lever at the bottom on the other side. The plastic breaks, and so the cable goes slack and so only one side releases. You need to strip the backrest down and fabricate something to replace the loop - a bit of coathanger or thick wire will do the job. Not an easy task, but if you take your time it's DIY-able.
