Heated seats dont seem to work?

Hello all,

 

I have an F-Reg C with std grey interiour... but I did notice heated seats switches for drivers and passengers side (rolling dials that go from 1-5). I turn them on, but dont seem to feel anything?

 

I didnt think it would have heated seats given the age/std interiour, but maybe it does have. Are there fuses or anything like that I can check, or how can I check if they are on/working?

easiest thing to do would be to look under the seat for any wires :)

its maybe had cloth recaro's or leather seats in it previously and these have been taken out at some point............as a rule leather seats came with seat heating as standard and i think the cloth recaro option had them too (though could well been optional------mate's J-plate 16v had cloth elec Recaro's but no seat heating)............never seen or heard of the standard VW sports seats in cloth coming with seat heating on the C tbh
